Even sadder Turnstile isn't at RW25 now there album is out.

Hope they'll be next year alongside Scowl and Mannequin Pussy who dropped huge albums recently too.

Next year is already taking shape with late releases this year.  I’d imagine the likes of Lorde, Wolf Alice, HAIM, The Cure are all exceptionally likely to be about on the European festival scene.

Shall see how RW is this year and then either jump back or more likely wait for the lineups to come out.  Seems like there’s no real need to rush into booking.

27 days to go now, it really is ridiculously close

A priori this could be us. With bold the certain ones, everything else is a maybe and depends on the mood, what my friends want, and the weather.

Thursday:

Grade2->Amyl & The Sniffers->Lambrini Girls->English Teacher->Fontaines D.C.->Deftones->Iggy->LP

Friday:

The Backseat Lovers->Bad Nerves->Weezer->Simple Minds or Caribou->Underworld->Green Day

Saturday:

Blanco White->Amenra->Beth Gibbons->Elbow->Wisp->Last beers (at SF or Barry, don’t care)

Sunday:

Wunderhorse->Goose->Overmono->Rufus Du Sol->2manydjs

Bummer that we ‘ll have to miss London Grammar. Unless we decide to sacrifice Deftones (saw them not too long ago) and go to the Barn early for Iggy.

I really hope for sun as this edition will have a lot of Apero time and lying down on the grass!

Thursday:

Grade 2 > Corella > Amyl & the Sniffers > Lambrini Girls > De La Soul > Iggy Pop > Linkin Park

Friday:

The Scratch > Jasmine 4t > Wet Leg > Weezer > Boston Manor > Joey Valance & Brae > Caribou > Fat Dog > Green Day

Saturday:

Almost Monday > Bright Eyes > Faye Webster > Damiano David > Gurriers > Raye/Elbow > Maribou State > Sam Fender

Sunday:

Remy Bond > Wunderhorse > Foster the People > Somebody’s Child > Gracie Abrams > Noah Khan > Olivia Rodrigo > 2manyDj’s

Pretty decent weekend for me with 12 must sees.  Would have put Olivia Rodrigo too but I’ll be seeing her the week before and nothing will top that with her.  And before that freebies to Robbie Williams and The Streets to tide me over. Should be a good month of music

As you can see, it gets worse every day

Although 15 acts you’re really happy to see and plenty more you would.  Even for a bad year (according to many) that’s not too bad.  Anyway, no doubt you’ll go and have a great time

So what about the acts that clash for him and most of Friday - Sunday staring at the grass until the evening? You've got lucky with the lot to see which fairplay but many people haven't because in general it's a basic lineup at best. They managed to book a Saturday second headliner, have them pull out and still book a replacement better then the actual main headliner now that's some Hella work!

And other people will be sat at home being negative as always about every thing.  Some people just need to get out there and enjoy things.

No, no one needs to get out there and just enjoy something they don't see as worth it just because you tell them to. I've secured what I needed to now from Rock Werchter back on home land which is a very rare option.

how can someone talk about next year…

Because once they completed the lineup this year it was every easy to move on talk about next year and hope for better. It's cost me £210/5 for exmaple and I've got almost what I'd need from Werchter on mainland with stronger options on the day as well without needing more than 2 days holiday booked off

Another message today about Combi tickets being close to sold out, guess last years didn’t sell out till 18th June so the same sort of timeline

Does anyone know in Glasto fallow years whether they sell out quicker?

Thats quite a difficult one to remember, even harder to judge.

The last fallow year was 2018.

The festival landscape is a lot different to 2018, more choice and the consumer being more savvy. The big major festivals like Roskilde, opener,  Werchter, Sziget tickets sales are slower. Whilst medium sized festivals like way out west are getting better lineups and more European travellers.

It will sell a bit quicker, but not a stampede.

Would be interesting to see how many combi tickets there are this year compared to earlier years. With the way they are doing the scheduling with very genre-intensive days, I can't understand that it will boost combi sales. My guess would be less combi and more day tickets.

Wouldn't there be a limit of day tickets under there license?

Thursday, Friday and Sunday have been sold out for a while. If they were going for more day tickets, wouldn't they just release more and take more combis off sale. Rather than Friday, Saturday and Sunday sold out.

Leuven isnt a great place to get away from at 2am. Which is perhaps why there is a limit in place.

Guess? RW gave away the name very clearly with that anagram from the start.

Tom Odell hands some weight definitely for Saturday but unfortunately the lack of anything decent priced for the eurostar over now takes it away.

I still considered but the 8 hour gap on Sunday, 5 hour gap Thursday and other larger gaps as well.

Hi, folks.

Unsure if this is already covered, but with Green Day's set being an extended 140 minutes and the Saviors tour in 2024 not including a Belgian date, does this make it likely they're going to play the Saviors set rather than the recent festival one?

i.e. the Dookie and American Idiot setlist.

They're playing 2 hours at Download on Friday so that may get a clue. But festival shows they've played so far this year have not done Dookie/American Idiot in full so I would assume it'll be different.

I think it's more of a certainty than a guess. In at least two occasions this year more day tickets were released, they just didn't announce it like they did last year.  Saturday day tickets are being offered on discount for quite a while through partners.

They will for sure announce a sold out in combis before the festival. It's for marketing reasons more than anything else.

That's what I meant. They reduce the number of combi tickets and sell more day tickets to the individual days. They can not exceed capacity, so that's the only way of doing it, however it means comparing when combis got sold out might not be coparing apples to apples.
