Yeah…. Was actually looking forward to Shahboozy and no idea who Merol is, so that’s a load of shite for me

Merol is most "famous" for her hit single "Hou je bek en bef me", I'll let you use google translate for that 😃

Ha, yeah I was made aware of that….

Btw, as always it’s great for those that are interested in her.  More than enough for me to do and tbf by Sunday I will be struggling massively anyway so laying down in the sun (it will be sunny) with my eyes closed will be just fine

On Saturday there is still one spot available at 2 o'clock. At first they said an unknown artist named Hello Tempest Road would be performing. Hello Tempest Road is an anagram of Thomas Peter Odell. So that would be too much of a coincidence.

Looks like Kasabian have replaced them at a festival in Spain: https://www.elespanol.com/quincemil/vivir/musica/20250528/kasabian-actuara-do-camino-kings-of-leon-cancela-concierto-razones-salud/1003743778957_0.html?utm_source=twitter_vigo&umbralhora=8.

Can't see them being big enough to fill this slot at Werchter though. I hope that they are replaced properly, and RW don't just bump up Raye et al.

I'm suddenly glad I haven't had the money and opportunity to jump on this yet as KOL were the pulled back in on Saturday. Mumfords as much as I don't mind them aren't going to to justify the expense getting over. I don't see Kasabian getting the call in. That wouldn't look good at all. Friday actually looks very poor too as I'm seeing the two I'm bothered about here anyway.

Back to needing Olivia Manchester resale.

Wow. Obviously gutting for the band and anyone looking forward to seeing them this summer. Looks like they’ll need to make haste. Finding a replacement that keeps everyone happy is going to be just about impossible.

Agree that they shouldn’t be bumping up acts - especially as it’s the only day yet to sell out. Likely to appeal to an act with something to promote over the next couple of months. It doesn’t necessarily need to be a similar replacement in terms of style, but you would imagine a decent sized act, as KOL were headlining a few other festivals. Could be a few acts from the Glastonbury lineup that could be considered. Either way, it’ll be interesting to see what they come up with.

Mad Cool, Nos, Werchter and no doubt more (no idea where KOL are playing) will be scrambling for a replacement (or the same one).

Sure they’ll come up with a big act, annoying to lose KOL but I’ll just go back to my Maribou State plan instead which I was happy enough with.  (Well unless I like the replacement).

A few names being thrown around due to dates/availability seem to be Muse, Mumford & Sons, Charli Xcx and Kasabian.  Gives us something to talk about I suppose

Muse don't have any shows after 04.07. Playing two countries back to back seems not to be a problem for them, as in 2022 they played three (Italy-Portugal-UK). Playing before Sam Fender may be seen as downgrade, but a big enough paycheck could solve it.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
