Rock Werchter 2025

I agree. I think he's got a bit bigger as last year playing Ally Pally was the biggest gig he's done. He also did two dates roundhouse earlier before that and Piece Hall. 3rd down at Boardmasters too between Soft Play and Courteeners. I dont think he's going be quite as low as people think at Glastonbury.

It's a mad slow low returning to play two places lower at Werchter...though clearly a panic booking.

As the anagram is matching perfectly, it seems like a likely one, but I find it very strange for many reasons if it's him.

1: He played last year.

2: He has not released anything major since then

3: Why the need to anagram his name? Only reason must be if he's about to announce a tour in that period, but that's quite late if that's the case.
4: If he's not planning on a tour, it seems like this will be a one off, in between some independent UK dates and US. Why the stress to get him to Belgium, just to play a single 45 min set? It probably will cost more as well, and there are plenty of other options out there that would have taken a mid day spot on RW's main stage.

5: The spot is lower than what he had last year

Still hoping for this to be something else, but then again. How exciting can this 45 min spot be. Why not just say TBA?

To be honest I'm quite glad it's him as I don't have to worry about clashing with Bright Eyes - and let's be honest, very few things would tear me away from Bright Eyes

Clash wise a few things jump out:

Ezra Collective vs. Fontaines (I think this will depend on whether I see Fontaines at Primavera - and English Teacher overlaps with Ezra Collective so may go English Teacher - Fontaines)

Cliffords vs. Wunderhorse (to see Cliffords before they get big or to see Wunderhorse now they've gotten big)

Allie X vs Foster the People (probably enough to see the majority of Foster the People's set)

Raye and Elbow (probably fair to say I won't get into the Barn to see Elbow if I stay for all of Raye?)

Boston Manor and Weezer vs. Celeste (going with the former)

Lola Young vs Simple Minds (probably going with Lola Young and then the last 50 mins of Simple Minds' set)

Underworld vs. Fat Dog & Green Day - biggest here, I'll probably do Fat Dog into Green Day and sacrifice Underworld as much as I'd love to see them

Amyl and the Sniffers + Lambrini Girls vs Sigrid - no brainer for me but it hurts missing Sigrid, who's quite good.

London Grammar vs Sextile (Sextile are super fun live. Will be gutted to miss them).

Deftones vs Heilung and Iggy Pop (might have to leave Deftones early for Iggy).

Nia Archives vs Linkin Park (Did hope Nia would be earlier in the day).

He's by anagram because it looks poor of they just put his name on the lineup for what is obviously a very late addition. It looks like he's essentially replaced letlive.

He is playing Glastonbury the weekend before so he's already around for that anyway. I want to see him but I still think it's a dull move based on repeat. At least keept him and Damiano days apart lol.

I don't think any clash i have is the same as yours haha.

That would be my day. Dean Lewis, Damiano, Raye and even Girl in Red are only the 'check out' one's. I'd probably go to FTP for Pumped up Kicks.

The gaps though without KOL and Tom Odell are evident.

Think I've got this so far:

Thursday: While She Sleeps, Amyl and the Sniffers, Lambrini Girls, De La Soul, English Teacher, Ezra Collective/Fontaines DC, London Grammar/Sextile, Deftones, Iggy Pop, Linkin Park

Friday: PRVIS, The Scratch, Thee Sacred Souls, Jasmine.4.t, Wet Leg, Bad Nerves, Weezer, Boston Manor, Girl in Red, Lola Young into Simple Minds, Fat Dog, Green Day

Saturday: Jacotene, Bright Eyes, MRCY, Amenra, Faye Webster, Beth Gibbons, Raye into Elbow, Kings of Leon and then Sam Fender

Sunday: Dasha, Remy Bond/Emmmy d'arc, Shaboozey, Wunderhorse/Cliffords, Finneas, Allie X into Foster the People, Gracie Abrams (I love Bolis but I've seen him a fair few times) into Soulwax, Noah Kahan, Olivia Rodrigo

I think the one thing that amazes me is how many acts you can actually see (obvs being 4 days helps too).  Certainly value for money.

yep, few festivals come close to this in terms of star power. when looking at individual prices alone - the Deftones/Weezer gig in London, the Sam Fender/Linkin Park and Iggy Pop shows alone would be more than the cost of the festival. If you're open-minded about the acts you'll have a great time.

Not that anyone asked but, greens will be who I see and then blues are in a gap and I’ll go along if I’m bothered.

For you regardless of who should/shouldn't be playing it, it makes sense because of you having that many options. Obviously, that won't work as well for everyone and one's who it doesn't won't see the value as much.

Secondly, this isn't discord, no one needed to ask. You can share who like or how it works out for you freely. This is done across the whole of the forum. People put stage predictions up in the Glastonbury thread and bold who they want to see as just a way of joining in, being involved and making conversations. It's all good.

Anyone who's been before is there much in the way of band specific merch on sale at the fest? I know they'll sell their own stuff but just curious as I really want a linkin park tour shirt!

Yes there are two separate merch stands selling band specific merch (and some RW stuff). I cannot imagine that they won’t have multiple different LP t-shirts but since they are the first headliner, I’d advise you to go early because they’ll sell out fast (unless you are xxxl or something :)).

So it doesn’t seem to be Tom Odell at all http://hellotempestroad.com/

Now if that's real, that is a what is going on addition. That's going to make people which it was haha. It makes a lot of sense for it not to be, it also makes a lot of sense why they've actually just used the bands name.

I think that might just be Tom Odell messing around.

Or someone of this forum who took the domain name, did a redirection to SoundCloud and created 2 songs with AI just to troll us 🤷‍♂️

The plot thickens lol. It's going to be Tom most likely. The more I think, those songs can't be serious.

"Hello Tempest Road" doesn't appear anymore on the timetable. Weird...

Yeah was just going to post they’re off the website and app now.  I guess they’ll just announce the real name soon

All the times i viewed and posted on this page with excitement building .Little did i know i would have to cancel in such a sad manner  . My son passed away suddenly 2 weeks ago and i have zero interest in going now . Is there a resale section for 4 days tickets . I have 2 passes (also 2 flights from dublin to brussels if anyone wants them for free as part of the sale , just a name change required) . Thank you

So so sorry to hear that.  It’s the most horrific thing imaginable.  If you ever need to unload or rant or whatever my DM’s are open.

Some people have mentioned ticket swap as an option to sell so maybe have a look at that.

Take Care

I'm so sorry for your loss. There are no words that can comfort you now 😞

So sorry for your loss! As a new father myself, I cannot even imagine the pain! I wish you and your family peace and comfort!

To answer your question: TicketSwap is a great option indeed, I've used it many times (mostly to buy tickets). I looked just now and there are about 6.000 ppl interested in a combi ticket. If you can't wait and want to get rid of them asap, you'll probably have to price them a bit lower than purchased but if you can wait for a bit, especially until (and if) they sell out, you might get your money back. For the flights if you don't find anyone to take the whole package maybe you can arrange with the airliner to keep them open for a future trip?

Massive condolences to you, understandably the last thing you would want to consider is attempting to enjoy this. As others have said, there are no words that can help you. If you are able to wait until the Glastonbury resale has passed, I may be interested in one of the passes at least to help.

You rightly need your time with other family, to grieve and time for peace. I wish you the best possible with that.

I am very sorry about your loss.

As someone mentioned, Ticketswap is a good place to sell your tickets especially when it's sold out.

Please take care of yourself and your family❤️

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
