I'd question why someone would want to link to the KKK, LGB Alliance, Stormfront, or similar.

Wasn't aware of LGB Alliance, just read up on them and can't really see why you have put them in the same category as the other two. Are their views really that extreme? Would have thought quite a few people would share them.

Yeah. They're literally a hate group designed to bully trans people. Their founders and prominent allies stand around supporting people who quote Mein Kampf positively:

Well that article doesn't mention LGB a or any of their founders so I'll have to take your word for it. As they are a legal organization and a registered charity I would expect they could be linked to for political discussion (not that I'm going to, this subject is a real can of worms!).

Well here's another:
https://www.thepinknews.com/2020/04/03/lgb-alliance-neo-nazi-homophobia-spinster-death-head-charity-commission/

that links them to neo-nazis, and their founders have said positive things about "Posie Parker" who was referenced as the organiser of the rally where Mein Kampf was directly quoted.

They post a lot of the sort of insidious, first-level hate speech stuff that's equivalent to "puppet of the Jewish bankers", while hanging out with the people who post the equivalents of the blood libel.

If mentioning his job is insulting then a lot of you here are triggered by the mention of what you do .

Would be better if you felt the shame before accepting the job.

It's always been the case in our media, at least in my lifetime. Farage on his own has had more appearances on Question Time than everyone involved with the Green Party altogether. Not to mention T*mmy R*b*ns*n and similar.

do you know what the various offers & declines for appearances are - unless you do there's more than media bias  there's also probably commentary bias.

Only in her early 40s as well. That's some pretty rough news.

I know she'll get great treatment and if they've caught it early, that helps with survival rates, but still.

her and King Charles go into hospital for some procedures and both come out with cancer diagnoses.

That link does not show what you said it does. The reported views are gender critcal, a viewpoint protected in law and consistent with the uk equality acts.

Mein Kampf is quoted in the context of someone accusing  trans activists of telling a big lie

as someone brought up in the neighbouring constituency  i know hes right about how much many people in farnham, guilford, etc earn. full on commuter belt with  bankers, spooks and civil servants (as abuilding trade I  once  [about 1980] worked on a big  posh house [with servants quarters] just outside of farnham, where the owner was a doctor who had been the queens doctor). lots of houses round there with servants quarters.

The hardest part is the length of time it take to get referred by your GP. Once you get referred to a hospital, I've found the treatment is really fast and efficient, using both NHS and private treatment centres (when referred by the NHS)

Saying that Mein Kampf is quoted so as to describe a target minority in the same way as Hitler described the Jews isn't a good thing?

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
