I said a few weeks ago that they can’t help themselves with teasing when they have news to share, so the fact that they were silent meant that there was something going on. It’s just very frustrating as Mad Cool is a very big festival, gathers a lot of big names together and also takes names from other big Spanish festivals too. They’re left with no dates those weekends and it’s probably too late to shuffle things around. Cannot believe that they didn’t have the logistics sorted before booking acts.

Avril Lavigne accidentally leaked Mad Cool on her tour dates today as well. It’s all happened so fast. I know I would be frustrated seeing the lineup that were missing.

No trouble. Mad Cool will be held the next year as planned. The message they published is not related to the cancellation of the festival, but is a marketing solution to add more hype. If this a trick to add hype it is a pretty stupid one. I was already looking at buying full festival ticket for Primavera Sound and potentially NOS after seeing MC's post.

also it did a good job getting people to talk about the fest. Not hype though more bashing the fest lol. I wouldn’t be surprised if some already bought NOS or Prima tickets

I still think they are cancelled. It’s too big of a thing to joke for. All of their competitors have already announced most of their lineups and they will lose so many customers until they clarify this
