I am very torn - massive fan who finally saw her on her last tour. So my choice is - see the same set again, or see Texas for a nostalgia fest (or, go see Pale Waves who I also love, but basically binned that one off). Think both will be amazing. Why did they clash all 3? 😌 Especially when there's bugger all else I want to see on Friday.

You are me, except I am not torn.   I finally caught her in Feb this year and it was one of the best gigs I have been to in years - so much fun from start to finish ... but I would also have loved to have seen Texas.  They were one of my must sees and as @Quark says, you kind of forget how many good tunes they have.  Pale Waves were also high up my list.  Easily the worst clash of the weekend.

However as much as it will probably be a similar set, Carly wins hands down.  No way I am missing her at Glasto

I’ve actually seen her name on here way more than I expected on peoples must sees since announcement, which is great to see.

This will be my fifth or sixth time seeing her and it always is such JOY, she’s a great performer and just a good egg, Also, all, CRJ fans will tell you that Call Me Maybe (while it will be a moment at an event like this) is well amongst her worst songs, genuinely not a highlight in her repertoire.

Run Away With Me, Cut To The Feeling and some of the lesser known album tracks are where her genius lie. I am CERTAIN that many people don’t know what she has in her arsenal - if you want something different to explosive pop, check out songs like ‘Comeback’, ‘Now I Don’t Hate California After All’, ‘Bends’, ‘Keep Away’… she’ll do precisely none of them in this set but that’s not the point haha

Great post - couldn't agree more.  Call Me Maybe, while still a great tune live, is not even close to her best.  And yes, big love for Comeback - no chance she will play it, but if I could choose any of her back catalogue for her to play, it would be right up there

This was not the thread to come to for somebody who had decided on Texas.

We’ve seen her three times over the past year and she is incredible live! Run Away With Me and Cut To The Feeling are absolute bangers and if Boy Problems makes the cut then it’s a proper party! She’s a brilliant pop star and really excited to see her again next week! 🥳🥂

Thank you!
Honestly with all the Side B albums, which are for the most part just as great as the originals, I could curate a three hour set from her with EASE. An hour isn’t enough (but it’ll still be the best hour of my week)

I hope she does do a couple of the lesser known/more unique numbers.. I’ve never heard her do ‘Summer Love’ live but that would go down a TREAT for me. But honestly there’s only a few songs she could throw in which I wouldn’t go apesh*t for.

Sorry 🤣

To be fair you can't go wrong with Texas - I am really frustrated to be missing them as I think they will be great on the Pyramid ... but Carly will bring the party.  Just imagine Run Away With Me going off on a sunny Friday afternoon - what a way to get the weekend started!  Sorry I will stop now 😜

Megacorps have calculated that's the exact amount of time they can plaster their sh*t products in rainbow flags and see a profit bump from the novelty before enough people start wondering exactly what benefit are the queers getting out of any of this commerce.

Nice to see you too Mark, a little disappointed you're not gonna be watching the one true Queen of Canada make her Glastonbury debut ngl, but nice to see you

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
