Presumably you’ll correct Arctic Monkeys as well then, given the info came from the same source?

will do it in my time, to my logic.

if they want a reggae opener this year, they should go for third world, the best older reggae band still doing it.

I’m pretty sure the first act on the Pyramid on Friday isn’t the designated reggae slot, but I’m sure they’d value your suggestion none the less.

What Dave Grohl breaking his leg?

Pretty sure that didn’t happen at the festival and didn’t necessitate a standby headliner act to be at the festival.

It was resolved by a simple bump up for an act that had already been booked months or years previously.

And I'm not going to disagree that Florence delivered, but they very much didn't get a replacement headliner, it was just a bump up. (And they slotted Libertines in to cover the sub slot, for which the festival had to beg a favour of Melvin Benn to break their festival exclusivity)

There was a fair amount of annoyance at the time because, whatever you might think of Florence, she's not the Foo Fighters and not really on that level. And even if you thought she was, well, she was going to be on anyway.

But this works both ways, why do *you* think The Killers played a secret set in 2019? Why on earth would they have booked a band that size to play a stage that small?

Right, so in 2019 Vampire weekend were the standby headliner, and in 2022 George Ezra?

Was it a secret set?

Depends how you view it, it wasn’t secret to anyone on here, but it was down as a TBC and they sent a notification on the app about half an hour before to confirm it was them.

The slot was 11:25 am, so clearly not a normal slot for an act that size.

What you backtracking on now?

I think some people are getting pedantic about the perfection of getting SR, TBC and specific days correct on the lineup page for, I think, Lizzo & Lewis Capaldi.  I love that page in the buildup as things start getting added - I assume it's a nightmare to get right and to expect it to be perfect is fantasy.

    • The same happened with Dua Lipa in 2022.
    • After reading their statement after the cancellation, I'm sure they'll be back as soon as possible (which, however, might not be 2027).
    • May 1. Cocanha - Flame Folclore 2. Pigeon - Outtanational 3. Genesis Owusu - Redstar Wu and the Worldwide Scourge
    • And how was the sound? We ended up on the left side of the stage (first seating places were behind us), so the view was quite OK, just the sound was terrible (and very quiet). Which is very strange because the sound during Rusowsky was amazing and we had much worse spot (we were sitting on the hill under the big palm, so the view wasn't ideal).   Also, she wasn't like my most anticipated artist of the day and if the cost for a good spot at PinkPantheress is missing Jade's Angel of My Dreams, I'm not willing to pay it.   Yeah, with lineup like this, it's always about setting your priorities.
    • Would love them there but they are that odd situation where they probably aren't well known enough to headline Pyramid but can't see them saying yes to Other Stage.
