none of the touted runners blow me away but at least others get their fill as ive been very lucky over the last few years with my personal tastes.

What im expecting: AM / GnR / Elton John

Is Harry Styles still in the question?

Thought he was in belgium on the saturday and people were saying that rules him out?

There's some sort of loophole about it being part of a performance. Samenthing with theatre shows.

Wouldn't be at AM or Elton if they play - and I think they will - having seen both this year. Enjoyed Elton, AM less so, but will go elsewhere at Glasto.

Holding out hope for Beyonce as #3. I'll take Rihanna though.

Scratch that, reminding myself of just how many bangers she has, that'd be a great show.

Elton would be a show for the ages, none of the £500 seats to be in the front row just a huge crowd loving banger after banger

I will see pretty much anything over arctic monkeys, prodigy on other would be perfect

I’d happily take dua, Rihanna, gaga over gnr bit could be swayed away from all depending on what’s happening elsewhere

Genuine question. How much of the line up so you actually know?

It’s the fact that the mod for the AM board who has leaked numerous things for AM over the years has openly shared that AM are Friday, even going as far to say that they have sorted strings for the set.

Harry Styles surely would be one the flattest headliners in a while? Has his solo career really been that great, I'm not saying it could never happen but just seems it would be a weak move atm.

He’s become a multi night stadium selling artist pretty quickly in his career

Belgium is closer than Glasgow. No one would bat an eyelid if he played Glasgow on the Saturday and Glasto on the Sunday.

He isn’t playing back to back nights in different venues, yet alone different countries, anywhere on his tour.

Harry Styles would be sick for me.

eminem is probably the most boring rapper you can book these days and I’ve seen him 3 times.

rihanna seems sick purely because how long she’s been away for.

and Taylor looks out of it due to her Saturday gig.

Who knows how it would go down but I do think his solo career has been a massive success so far. Prolific with big radio hits and seems to be going from strength to strength with him now selling out stadiums.

    • Would you decide to go once more I recommend to queu up at the official freenow taxi line. It might take 15 min or so but they are not ripping you off. Even at 3 or 4 in the night it costed us about 25eur to the city center.
    • How do you mean? Better as a hotel/ festival combo?   I've done rock am ring at both sites.....unpopular opinion I much preferred the mending site and really didn't like the long and narrow main stage at RaR.
    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
