It's 6 headliners, just nobody's sure who the strong MSW is out of LG, Lana and Fred.

LG's shifting the most UK tickets but part of me wonders if he's happy taking MSW on the cheap and opening for a young, explosive British artist. LG probably wants to go get mashed at Fred after his set. He already knows he's drawing a stonking crowd, do Definitely Maybe in full then every f**ks off to the afterparty at Fred.

Disagree. He's huge but he has a massive tour next year as it is.

I think it's the best set of names they've had in quite some time, will sell VERY well.

People said the exact same thing last year…

For me it’s a little more appealing than last year but it’s another one we’ve already decided on these 10 alone that we won’t be going again this year

It’s just boring really for us. Gallagher has done the rounds, Blink are well Blink, been there done that 4x at Reading before, Lana Del Rey is the only thing of slight interest on that whole list

Jerry Cinnamon and CATBM can do one boring

LDR I dont actually like but its an act Id see regardless. Same with Fred tbh. The rest? Not arsed. Seen Blink so many times and theyve been sh*t everytime.

Gallagher won’t be playing below Fred Again. No chance

I know, the smart money is on the obviously massive name doing MSE. I just can't get over them putting him on the top line of the Leeds site, then intentionally taking it down for 10 minutes to put Fred back up top. It's so weird. If it wasn't a specific order, why would you bother changing it?

It feels like regardless of how it shakes out there's going to be one day that sells out instantly - whichever day Fred or Lana (or LG) are playing MSW.

Fred, Blink & LG are clearly the MSE headliners.

The sincere part of me is leaning this way for sure, but if so Lana MSW is a get. That day is gonna sell the f**k out no matter who she's under.

She's probably agreed to do it because she doesn't understand that she's not actually headlining. She got mad that she wasn't top line of the Glasto poster as an Other head. Can't wait until she drops out and The 1975 replace her.

Download dropped a bollock losing Spiritbox to Reading/Leeds. Was fully expecting them to get a decent slot there next year.

All promoted by the same company though isn’t it. Sure reading is festival republic but all owned by LN and work in the same building. It’s all worked through with artists and schedules….

Lana Del Rey sold out Hyde Park quicker than Bruce Springsteen though...

Lana's Hyde Park show was 50k tickets. Liam defo sells a lot more tickets a lot faster. He sold out his tour for next year instantly which includes 4 nights at the O2, 4 nights at the new Coop Live Manchester and several other arenas (over 250k tickets). And let's not forget how he sold out 2 nights at Knebworth, 2 nights at the Etihad etc. instantly last year.

If I were his agent or manager I wouldn't accept anything other than a proper headline spot (MSE)

I do agree with you but I like the conspiracy about the website edit.

Could the most up himself man in the industry take a lower slot for the sake of a rising star? Opinions are divided, but the answer is yes.

Let us not forget - the ACTUAL most up himself man in the industry, Matt Healey, was happy doing MSW (as a replacement no less) this year and those guys also sell an absolute assload of tickets.

(I do think Lana's MSW and she's just not twigged that she's a glorified sub)
