I hope not, it was good to have festivals  spread out over the whole summer with their run in August.

Also would they really want to clash with both primavera weekends and now wide awake which are early June?

Primavera is in another country, its a big thing on this forum but in general... not so much.

Also they probably get a wider draw of acts should it be around Primavera dates. They've definitely shared a lot of the same acts in prior years when it was around Primavera dates.

I feel the complete opposite. The end of summer is jammed with great festivals and I preferred the early June dates before much else has got going.

I think in terms of acts alone when you see all the main headliners of APE you could see why it may cause issues, unless they go in a more mainstream direction

Nick Cave

Gorrillaz

Tame Impala

Disclosure

All played Primavera so this would cause problems

And people would prefer to see them at home and not travel? Festivals that are at the same time of the year often share headliners ?

I was wondering whether The War On Drugs, Yeah Yeah Yeahs or Phoenix might be big enough to headline APE?

TWOD and YYYs have both headlined the 2nd stage in previous years. Maybe TWOD could headline as a smaller headliner but don't think YYYs would.

War on Drugs as a UK exclusive on a thurday, maybe.

Yeah yeah yeahs would go either way but more likely as a second from top

Not if they want to stop giving away free tickets

Depending on the dates. Have they been announced yet?

this is all they're down for so far. Got a feeling they'll be at glastonbury too.

It's August again

Ah is this confirmed now? I'll be at green man when it's on so I won't be bothering with it if it's in August

Confirmed August. Rules out QOTSA I would guess as we know they are in Europe in June.

Last years line up was released end of November.

Wild guesses -

Massive Attack / Young Fathers

Bjork / Little Simz

Pulp / Kooks / Wet Leg / Stereolab

Field Day - Four Tet / Aphex Twin

Loyle Carner / Florence & The Machine

Nine Inch Nails (in my dreams)

Nine inch nails confirmed to not be touring.

Pulp are meant to be festival exclusive to somewhere announcing this week
