So why did they get Elton 5 years into his tour lol. Either she chooses to do it with this tour cycle or its the first thing whenever a new album comes out. But of course would the festival just block out 3 1/2 hours for her if its for Eras.

Elton is a bit different, last ever UK tour date and his was postponed etc due to covid delays.

Its still a long tour. Who says taylor wont just stop after this. She made enough money

When you’re that rich, it’s never enough money. Everything Taylor has done over the past couple of years seems like a deliberate power play to be the biggest act in the world and I don't see her just giving that up willingly.

But yeah, I think after this tour is over she’ll return to the more regular touring schedule and new album heavy setlists she did before. Whilst I’ve no doubt she could continue the Eras tour for years on end, that’s not really a great business model to run on at this stage of her career.

If that was a factor, she made enough money to stop, retire, and be able to buy/do anything she wants for the rest of her life at least 3 tours ago.

She's not doing this tour because she needs to.

when it was brought up that she wasnt selling seats directly behind the stage? Well it sure looks like she is. Toronto sold seats that are circled. From that viewpoint you dont even get to see the screen thats on the side either. So those are legit "listening" tickets. They were sold for 100 CAD.

I think when we spoke about selling seats directly behind the stage we were talking about literally at the back (slightly to the right of where is circled). Knowing how Taylor’s stage is laid out, you can still see the runway with these seats and (unlike other artists) she has screens. Not saying I’d ever pay for one of those kinds of seats but some people just want to be there.

    • Plenty of good stuff this month. Very difficult choice, but I'm going with some of those I've listened to most (the sunny weather may also have been influential)...   1. The Coral - 388 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's Been Good to Me 3. The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind!   Others I've been enjoying... Laurie Anderson's live album, Broken Social Scene, Pigeon, The Black Keys, etc
    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
