It would be an act of evil to have AM clashing with the Prodigy.

Why? Sounds about right to me tbh. Dance act up against the headliner that will get a lot of BBC coverage.

Okay, didn't remember that. Then they could def fit that slot before Elton then, altho might choose against it if they feel they're always no.2.

Only saw the back end of Tame Impala that year. Who was third or fourth down the Other?

1975 actually and Tom Odell.

Why have those specific slots piqued your interest in relation to Tame Impala subbing?

I was just trying to remember who I'd seen instead of catching the first half!

I remember a decent crowd for all three, to be fair.

Again yer Pyramid is looking too pop orientated, especially that Friday. Can't really see Paolo subbing but it's not a ridiculous shout.

Finding it really hard to pick an indie / rock pyramid sub. No one feels big enough. The only suggestions I can think of is someone taking a step down.

There's loads of possibilities. Royal Blood could step up. There could be a returning act like The National. Maybe QOTSA will sub instead of returning to headline the other. Perhaps Stereophonics will get over themselves and accept that slot after seeing both the Gallagher brothers do it in recent years. Could go on.

Stereophonics did an interview recently and sounded over themselves, more clueless than anything honestly. Feel like its more of an agent thing

bun Nutini as well, doesn't play any of his big tunes from the first album - was shit at Knebworth. can play when he gets over himself!

Something pretty indicative of Glastonbury next to every other British festival if they took two R+L headliners for 2022 and plonked one atop the Pyramid and another atop the John Peel.

Bring Me the Horizon would knock it out of the park, in all fairness.

Didn't they play last festival and get a tiny crowd?

Well I think this point says more about BMTH and the type of headliners R&L etc go for. BMTH every time they have played have had a pretty tiny crowd. While they can headline R&L they can’t command a slot anywhere near as big at big G.

Also yes indeed.

It is an intriguing concept nevertheless.

Against Kylie. Terrible slot for anyone.

I absolutely adore bring me and considered going to their Malta weekender and I still picked Kylie because when else would I see Kylie.

I don't think the Kylie Legend slot will be beaten for booking a Legend for a while. It felt like such a moment. Her, Dolly Parton and Barry Gibb was ace.

    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
