Thunderstorms in west Yorks. Started over an hour ago and still raining now. Just tried pushing a tent peg into the lawn. Ground still as hard and firm as a Chippendale’s butt.

My poor knees are going to get Badly sunburnt. And my left leg is going to roast in its own solar cooker (a black Kevlar leg brace, Which i need to wear if I stand up on my feet).

It's not even that. It's the edge of one small blob of rain. It will stop in minutes. 

Forcefield still in action with the heavy centre to the west and Swindon getting soaked.

its too tight to get anything between the brace and my leg (apart from at my ankle for some cushioning).
