Other than the music

Hi everyone!

Can't wait to be finally going back after the recent haitus.

This will be my fourth Glastonbury and for the first time there is very little that tickles my fancy on Saturday and Sunday afternoon (excluding Diana Ross).

The last three times I've had a loose itinerary of where to go and what to see.

So my question is what is your favourite non music related thing to do on Saturday and Sunday afternoon?

PIck something you would at first not want to see or do and try it out. Hippy Irish poetry? Let's give it a shot. Experimental Japanese Metal? let's walk over there and try. Knitting a scarf? If you don't try you don't know. At worst you'll have a good story to tell!

All of the above!

I love trying to catch some of the spoken word/poetry performances when I can, and join in some of the debates. Then for a bit of downtime I often sit a while in the permaculture garden with a good book and just chill. Bliss, sheer bliss. 🥰

Honestly, if there’s any Experimental Japanese Metal, I want to know which stage and when.

One of my favourite things about Glastonbury is randomly walking around

Spent one afternoon going from a drum and bass rave to an acoustic requests only singalong to learning the charlston to playing mini golf to hula hooping and finally finishing with a salsa class after winning some free shots at some bar game

Don't get that anywhere else in the world

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
