I’ll endorse the Glastocast, only just got round listening to the last two (volunteering and Luke from Greenpeace) due to not being able to face anything Glasto related for two years. But they were both fantastic and I could have listen to Luke all day.

So yeah, Glastocast for any first timers and I’m very jealous as it’ll both your head off.

Awwww what a lovely thing to say! Thank you!

Pretty worried i've hyped it up too much being on here honestly! I've done a decent amount of weekend festivals and enjoyed a lot of them - i'm concerned i might be thinking glastonbury is a bigger step up above the others than it actually is

Nah not gonna happen, Glastonbury is off the scale... you will not be disappointed

2019 Glasto was my first festival for about 15 years and my first taking my then 14 year old son and 11 year old daughter.

As we built up to the festival and Dylan gorged himself on Efestivals, Barbster 360 videos and Glastocast podcasts I worried that the festival couldn't possibly live up to expectations.

I needn't have worried. The only problems were the subsequent stress of the next ticket day; and other festivals we've been to since not being able to reach the same dizzy heights.

First one for me and can't f***ing wait - counting down the days and getting so hyped for it.  Like @gfa said previously I have recently been wondering if being on here has got my expectations unreasonably high, but I have been reliably reassured by the virtual meet crew that it will blow my mind!

My only previous Festival experience just doesn't compare - it was a day ticket to Reading in 2019 which I really enjoyed and made up my mind to try for tickets for Glasto after watching it on TV for more years than I can remember.

After the joy of October 2019 the wait has been never-ending, but we are nearly there now.  Also absolutely delighted that pretty much everyone on here was successful in the resale - even though I don't know you all in person, it just feels so much better to know that we are all going.  Bring it on 😁

2007 was my first festival of any kind... i was 48.

I chose not to go in 2008 (my boots were still not dry..) but returned in 2009 with my daughters... We havent missed one since, until going ticketless this year..

Whilst i agree that the first visit is mind blowing because of the scale...(and that first view....) The beauty of Glastonbury is that the more you go, the more it gives... There is always something else to discover/enjoy...

enjoy all you newbies... and be prepared to be bitten by the bug.

It's me and my wife's first Glastonbury at the age of 37. I've tried for years to get tickets without luck. Fortunately a friend has contacts and managed to sort us out. Very excited and a little nervous too especially as its our first time away from our 1 year old.

My first Glasto (2019) was at the ripe old age of 33, with my wife. Lifechanging experience and I now cannot imagine a summer without it.

Just Reading day ticket before hand! You are in for an absolute treat - i've done a fair few other festivals and would say reading is on the lower end aside from big acts
