Great day at We Are Wirral Festival yesterday. I'll be honest, my expectations were low but it was well organised, the sound was really good, food and drink options were good. The Coral headlined and were head and shoulders above everyone else, but still enjoyable sets from The Lotery Winners, Hard-Fi and Thrill Collins. Would go back, but not today because the line-up is rubbish. 20260718_162610.thumb.jpg.963c5546b5a5708cf32076d328bcd5ec.jpg

That's good to know!! I'd have gone if I wasn't at benicassim

Got to laugh though, Tinie Tempah played to us lot at 3.45am Friday morning and then went to a family friendly wirral festival at the weekend. Very different vibes 😂😂

So I went to see The Sunshine Underground at Gorilla in Manchester tonight for their first gig in 10 years. I absolutely love them and was so happy to have them back, I know not many care about them but I think they're amazing.

Passionate crowd, great setlist, and they just sounded like they'd never been away. Bring on Leeds on Saturday, who's going? I remember some being interested on here. Anyone who is, you're in for a great show

And I did round 2 of Sunshine Underground at Kirkstall Abbey - beautiful venue, an incredible crowd for their return. I honestly had an amazing day. If that's it for them, I'm mega happy this happened.

And today I went to Tramlines for Wolf Alice and, honestly, unbelievable. They deserve these headline slots, and absolutely smashed it

A fantastic weekend at Latitude cramming in 32 acts across the weekend. A real mix of music legends and some great modern acts too, plus some great comedy as well

The main highlights each day for me were

Friday - David Byrne, Ross Noble, Jalen Ngonda

Saturday - Getdown Services, Jacob Alon, Westside Cowboy

Sunday - Self Esteem, Flaming Lips, Panic Shack

Saw David Byrne at Cardiff Castle on Sunday. Was a good choice - show was good. I was a little unsure after I heard David cough during one or two of the early songs, but when it got going, it settled into a slick groove and was a nice evening. I also liked the song he did with support act Anna Calvi.

Venue was nice, even if getting in and out was a bit fiddly.

I came really late to TSU, only discovered them as Luminescent came out and played that to death.  This gave me a good reminder to go back and listen to it again, still fantastic.

Any plans for further shows do we know, or are these one offs?
