Nice to see they are consistently wrong.

Barry Fish
Daughters PCR test came back at 4am this morning. 17 hour turn over is pretty impressive. Negative. Fucking pointless exercise it was considering the LFT was negative and its clear she just has a fucking cold. This isn't living with the virus -its being held hostage by it. We have submitted to its demand. Its like learning to live with the fucking Taliban. Edited October 1, 2021 by Barry Fish

And this isn't exactly a one off launch rush thing - they want tens, maybe hundreds of thousands to use this per day on some days And how do they expect the next phase to work when they want it for all hospitality when cases go up in winter if it can't deal with this in the daytime of the first day, before gigs and clubs have even opened? Actually, how do they even expect it to work tonight... Edited October 1, 2021 by efcfanwirral

Barry Fish
Suppose it was only a matter of time... My nan (88) caught covid sometime last week or the week before and tested positive on Wednesday. Went to hospital on Friday (I think she was more frightened than actually ill and wanted reassurance). They gave her a bit of oxygen, took all the vitals and decided she was fine and sent her home. She is much better today. It would of been a totally different outcome if it wasn't for the vaccine no doubt. Fucking love science! There is a very unique psyche in a cohort of people in Singapore use to being mollycoddled by the government along with a government who like to keep the people in fear (eg. Mandatory bomb shelters in new apartments). The hospital system is being overwhelmed by healthy young people turning up at at time where only 30 people are in ICU. 82% vaccinated but groups of 2 only at F&B, no background noise or things on TV at Pubs, 10:30pm closing. It's absolutely insane

It's absolutely insane I feel all governments around the world need to put the behavioural scientists back to work to reverse the damage they have done to peoples ability to exist (and risk asses) once they have hit a reasonable number of people vaccinated. People still in the UK walking around in fresh air in a mask ffs. I am all for live and let live and if they really want to do that then fine - but - there isn't any need and I always just presume those people are scared beyond sense still. DeanoL
How are people finding gigs? We've started going to stuff again and while it's nice to feel back to normal, we're clearly a long way off. Saw one comic at a rescheduled "sold out" gig where about 15% of the audience were missing - "I guess all the empty seats are either people who have forgotten they booked this or died". Saw another comic in a room he'd previously sold out pre-pandemic that was only 1/4 full. It's a concern, to be honest. I'm not sure if it's reluctance by people to go out, or just that there's so much stuff on now (with theatres trying to fit a year's worth of shows into 4 months) that people are having to be more picky. It's not sustainable though.
