kin'ell....it's all trots this and centrists that.....feckin tedious.

This thread has quite a predictable cycle of news comes out - it's interpreted by people in the way they think suits them best - we all call each other centrists/corbynites and that the other side is out of touch for x/y/z reason - repeat ad naseum

German Green party are kind of centrist.

Anyway, I just wish we had PR and labour could split. Sick of the factionalism. Save it for when they are in coalition.

Thats the thing, bickering and deal cutting is what politicians get paid for - it shouldn't be expected of us to have to compromise on our beliefs and be forced to hopelessly vote for the least worst option forever more.

Lets have it! All non-tory parties stand a PR candidate at the next election on a 1-point manifesto - to immediately implement PR and hold a new election a month later.

I don’t care which side of the Labour Party does it, I just want them to get the Tories out of power.

Which has been Corbyn's whole career as he was more socialist worker than labor And never a worker he's never had a real job.

this will bring the thread together ❤️

I am laughing about the complaints that people made that the bbc made it too easy to complain though 🙂 ... I wonder if any of those complaints got complained about ...

You have quite a deep hatred of corbyn which I hadn’t quite realised when I saw you at the efest meet a few years back in the corbyn tshirt  ... my dad was quite a keen Labour Party member back in the day but was telling me he never liked him because he rarely smiled and when he did it seemed to be lacking genuiness . Hopefully sometime we get a Labour Party that is able to stand out and muster enough support to be a thing once again ... kier needs to cut it much better though ... and not his hair !!

@eFestivalswas wearing a Corbyn t shirt?! What happened to make you hate him so much since having a t shirt of him @eFestivals?

I think it was a running joke because of his dislike for him ... some kind of bet maybe ? At the time I didn’t dip into the politics thread very much ...

It might have been a piss take i wasnt doing the jezza chant

Never hated him always realised he was a poor choice if you wanted Labour to win. I hate the attitudes of many who supported him because they wew I d to the problem they were causing.

tbh feel much the same about you and big bad centrists

Difference is that centrists are relevant now, what with Starmer being the leader of the so-called opposition. Corbyn is no longer particularly relevant anymore, and yet his haters still keep going on about him.

What good is Labour winning if they're just going to be a bunch of blue Tories????

Because no lives were improved during Blair's time.??

How are you enjoying a wage that can't be utterly shit. Schools without leaking rooves and pre pandemic short hospital waiting lists.

Paul Mason on R4 just now saying there needs to be an alliance of the centre and the left.

So there.

Which would be Labour if the bitter corbynites could hold their tongues.and which would have been the brexitstopping GNU if someone s vanity hadn't have got in the way and if the SNP hadn't wanted to strengthen the tories a habit of theirs.

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
