A little out of sync with the usually meets but Easter is an eggcellent reason for a catch up.

I'm sure the usuals will be there to crack a few yolks, but it would be great to see a few new faces too. Be you a spring chicken or eggtremely nervous a virtual meet will bring you out of you shell. All are welcome and encouraged.

So don't worry, be happy and join a minute or an hour on Saturday. Hopefully no one will crack any Easter jokes, as they're not even bunny.

Booked Back to the Future The Musical yesterday. Might go back in today and grab Mamma Mia and Singin' in the Rain (it's coming back).

I was looking at that yesterday, but I wanted to be on the "fly zone" (whatever that is 😅) and there was no availability.

Great Scott!

Edit: Just Googed and says the McFly zone to be up close and personal with the band is rows A to D. We are in row D. FYI, if you book in advance, the end of Row D seats (and C) are only £20 (I Googled it and you get a decent view from there).

Just booked to see Mamma Mia... here we go again (that 'joke' technically works as I've seen the show once before).

The wife says she has no interest in Singin' in the Rain - sacrilege!

You've inspired me - I'm going to look for October/November later. Loads of shows don't have tickets on sale yet though.

What you gonna go for? I've got Back to the Future and Mamma Mia. Big fan of a musical with some sneaky BYO.

Wonder how @ShakeyCrashis getting on with his book club read !

He hasn't posted much, so it must be keeping him busy.

Back to the Future and probably Wicked. I was going to do Les Miserables but they're not on sale.

    • Muse new album out soon , European tour announcement for Nov and Dec, no Spanish date and north American tour starts in July and in North America for all of July and August. So primavera and Glastonbury
    • Well he is on a rape charge, don't see that one as controversial.    Although Hakimi is in Morocco squad.
    • Electric Callboy just said they'll be touring here next year. I'm not sure there's a poster for it though. I'll look when I'm near some next.      He said we'll see you at Download at a gig before any of the band. Presumably he was trolling. They're in Austria at the moment and Germany tomorrow with a week's break and more shows in Germany. Whilst not impossible to come back here and then go over there again, it seems unlikely.
    • Thomas Partey, knocked back by Canadian immigration now.
    • I'm sure someone can update you on the clashfinder, and it will be pretty accurate by the time the festival comes around. It's a large flat-ish arena with main stage in the open air, no best side I'd say. Leadmill (3rd stage medium tent) is at the back of the main arena, T'Other (2nd stage big tent) 5 min walk round the corner. At full capacity walking around can take a bit more time though. I noticed that The Enemy are scheduled to not fully overlap with Wolf Alice, so you could catch part of their set too.   You can walk around anywhere with a beer, with most bars the usual mass market stuff, but one nice craft ale tent, back of the arena near the Leadmill stage. A main meal will set you back £10-15, but cheaper snacks also available. Expect a pint to be £7-8. Possibly a bit more this year as prices everywhere are increasing.   It's fairly easy to get to from the town centre using the tram, although can be busy at peak times / very busy at curfew. If you like a walk, it's approx 40 mins to Kelham Island (lots of indy venues) and probably an hour to the city, or catch an Uber. There will be loads of 'fringe' music events on around the city right through the weekend. Most are free. Have a wonderful trip, enjoy the festival, and your stay in our city!
