Huh?

What exactly have the far left done here towards a dead figure from the past - or to be more accurate to a bit of stone representing him?

Oh, that's right, in both cases nothing.

Why would they feel the need to protect a statue? It’s a peaceful protest isn’t it?

You can turn a blind eye to the undesirables that turned up at Clapham Common last night all you like but the videos are there for all to see.

So the BobWillis2 logic is:

- Any people near anything that has security, can now be accused of threatening to attack it simply on the basis that there is security.

And could the BobWillis2 entertain the idea that this is dogwhistling? Make it look as though these women are trying to attack things to get the public on side?

And in any case it's a statue, an inanimate object.

As always you miss the point. Nothing changes there.

When these idiots turn up and hijack a good cause and cause damage and violence it detracts from the importance of the protests in the first place.
The average joe doesn’t remember last summer as a great coming together of the people to fight social injustice, they remember the violence, the arrests and the defacing of statues. It’s what gives fuel to the Neanderthals at football matches that boo players taking the knee.
I’m sick of seeing it and I’m sick of seeing people defend it.

You made a claim:

Extreme left wing women were hijacking the anti-violence against women agenda with an anti-racism agenda by threatening to do damage and violence to a statue (sic).

It's a completely empty claim.

That pic of police protecting a churchill statue obviously staged. Make them look like a radical mob, worked so well with the black lives matter lot.

It wasn’t staged for a photo if you watch the protest ... there were 3 rings of police at 1 point ringing the statue .... but also at no point can you see anyone making any attempts to get close or cause it any damage ... the police were bearing the brunt of the verbal anger because they were protecting a racist rather than protecting the women ... if the police hadn’t been there it’s likely the march would have just gone past it without incident

Do you think Sarah’s family are pleased to see people waving Palestine flags and shouting fuck the police at a vigil for their daughter that was brutally murdered because she dared to walk home alone?

There’s a photo doing the rounds of a far left parasite who turned up last night with a “free assange” placard. Yes the same Assange accused of raping a woman.

Keep defending the indefensible.

Doesn't that only reinforce steviewevie's point?

It is very possible the police wanted to give the impression (via a photo in tomorrow's papers) that the marchers were threatening it.

A photo hints that they were.

Yep, people will die. 180m+ doses short in H1. That’s the scandal.

For sure. But sounds like moderna will have delays as well. And Pfizer had some a few months ago. It's not just AZN....

I thought AZNs statement was very clear that there isn't evidence of wider issues or issues with the batch from the evidence they presented.

Piers Corbyn was there with his anti-lockdown crew too.

Wonderful strawman. One of your best.

You said extreme left wing people had hijacked the protest, as evidenced so you claimed by the police encircling the Churchill statue.

It's bollocks isn't it.

You’ll have to point out the part where I mentioned anything to do with racism. As always you’re bringing up points that aren’t there because you’re incapable of debating what’s in front of you.

"So the far left have hijacked another cause (VISUAL: POLICE CIRCLING CHURCHILL STATUE, WHICH WAS DEFACED LAST YEAR BY BLM MOVEMENT ON BASIS OF RACIST VIEWS), wonderful"

Unfortunately for you, your words and obvious insinuations are just a click away.

    • A question has crossed my (questionable) mind;   Has the size of the Green Fields remained the same as other areas have expanded / been added on to, since say, 2014 (the last time that I attended)? Are they 'lost' within, or well attended?    That's actually two questions. The second one just slipped in at the end by taking advantage of my lack of means to stop it.
    • I'd say the same about Kylie.    Annie would be awesome, Duran not so much, and on the issue of them wanting a beanie slot, that probably rules out a fair few others who I think would fit the bill very well... and are legitimately more entitled to a headline, and/or too expensive.   Was just about to suggest Chaka Khan, but see @Gnomicide has beat me to it!    What about someone like Bryan Ferry?
    • It's certainly gone more that way, but then they went completely in the opposite direction and had Cat Stevens.
