Now hear me out...

He's back - been hearing vague whisperings. For me I think perfect Avalon headliner - that line ups been really nailing the 06/07/08 pop lately what with scouting for girls, magic numbers, turin brakes, busted. Great bit of niche nostalgia. :bubaphone:

I remember when he pulled out of The Big Chill at the last minute in 2007.  it was the biggest cheer of the weekend when it was announced.  i personally think he had a couple of OK catchy singles but dont know who would be interested in him without new material

It's new material that people hate most about nostalgia acts.

a couple of singles a decade ago barely makes someone a nostalgia act

Read through this thread. Lots of talk about how people remembered him from when they were 12. 10 years ago. That sounds pretty nostalgic to me!

Let's wait and see how successful his new material is to gauge if there is interest in his new stuff...

I saw him at V. Pretty sure it was the same year as Alright, Still era Lilly Allen and the infamous Alphabeat v Girls Aloud clash (went Girls Aloud - no regrets). He was ace. I've no idea what he's done since but those set of singles were belting.
