  1. Any chance I could nominate March 30th? I was meant to be going to Japan that day but had to cancel due to CV, so hoping for some good juicy Glasto news as a compromise!

    Self Confirmed 2020

From glasto chat (not sure if this is new info or not)
  3. I thought his “I’ll be going as a punter” comment implied their absence on the bill altogether, personally. They weren’t really in the running to headline this year anyway as they don’t fit the male solo artist/glastonbury newcomer description, so unsure why it has been framed as them not headlining. Still, it’s just guesswork and they could still be there but I’m starting to think they may be there in 2021 instead.
  4. Not sure if it’s been posted here yet but The 1975 are definitely ruled out for 2020. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/the-1975-glastonbury-grammys-me-and-you-together-song-939574/

    Kendrick Lamar

I can see that happening but also can see his own announcement given its the 50th and it’s a pretty stacked trio
  6. Not sure if this has been posted but Brockhampton are touring europe may/june

    2020 headliners

Fair enough if they’re not your bag, but you’ve gotta admit Frusciante is an absolute animal

Probably one of the coolest ways to start a show

    2020 headliners

I saw them at IOW in 2014, at the time was an incredible show, albeit they were late and had to cut Under the Bridge from their set. Watching it back they weren’t technically great and the guitar sounded out of tune for Can’t Stop but I think the crowd carried the show throughout. I’d see them again if they headlined, their intro jam into Can’t Stop really gets you hyped

Yeah all we can hope for is that we get some actual solid info beforehand

Haven’t IOW downsized their bookings? This year they had NGHFB, George Ezra and Biffy, hardly the same wow factor as when they had Kanye, Bon Jovi, The Killers, Stone Roses etc. Would be shocked if they managed to snag either Taylor or Chilis

I’d say they both are. The biggest issue with the people arguing against either headlining is that they’re not overly familiar with their material or what they have heard, they don’t like. I’m not huge on The 1975’s last 2 albums but can understand that their popularity and commercial/critical success would allow them to be considered. A good place to start is to give them a proper chance and listen to Kendrick’s discography (TPAB is his best imo) and learn a little more about him. Whether YOU know his music very well or not is sort of besides the point, his accolades speak for themselves.

Kendrick is arguably the biggest hip hop artist on the planet and is hugely popular in the UK. There’s absolutely no debate that he is worthy of headlining. It would be a huge booking if they pulled it off.
  15. This is definitely the most palatable lineup I’ve seen so far. I’m always so salty when Brockhampton aren’t included in everyone’s lineup’s tho - just let me have them!
