No need to call me King of All Things Marshall Mathers if I am right cause it's just what you call experience and making an educated guess. I would prefer if you were right and he did a big Tour. #1SzigetFan
We know that both leakers teased Eminem, but @JBarbour teased only the acts from the first announcement. Any truth regarding this rumour, mr. JB? Or at least please tell us if there's going to be a separate headliner announcement...
billybigballs
In fairness, I really didn't realise that he played so infrequently. Let's hope Sziget really has got him. Looks like it'd be quite a scoop.

#1SzigetFan
Daily tickets will be on sale starting with the 3rd of March, according to the Hungarian press release! Edit: according to the official website, all the daily tickets will cost 69 EUR. Eminem and Shawn Mendes pulled out? There was that info regarding more expensive tickets for those 2 days... SFTAR
From the daily lineup I fear I was right that Eminem doesn't happen, no matter if the info was wrong in the first place or if he pulled out.

Yelo, the Parmiggiana
So basically: 5 august: average 6 august: over-stacked for who loves indie/trip hop and with no variety for who doesn't love indie/trip hop 7 august: eskereboyz on the main stage and quality hipster stuff on the A38 8 august: literally throw the dices and put the names how you like 9 august: the empire of flat live music (and Kaytranada and Dixon) 10 august: meme schedule with Khalid opening for The Strokes 11 august: sweet summer children on the main stage and metalheads breaking noses on the A38 Only situation it makes sense is that Eminem plays the 9th august and Shawn Mendes the 11th, as it is clear that the A38 is built to give an alternative to whom will rage for the pop announcement. Tinsel19
Didn't the leaker say major Lazer would be the closing festival? sandorbeni
Also as far as I can remember one of the leakers said that Khalid will be playing before Shawn Mendes but seeing these day splits that's definitely not happening
R Shah
Hi guys! My interrailing trip passes through Budapest on 10th August which is convenient as I LOVE The Strokes so will be grabbing a day ticket. First timer here - couple of questions! Day tickets Tier 1 (€69) are onsale Tuesday 11am, when does the first tier usually sell out? What time do headliners usually come on and off? (considering Strokes would play a 90 minute set) as we'd be hoping to do some sightseeing that day as well! For an act like The Strokes, how would the crowd differ from a UK show? Easy to mosh to the front or should we go down early for a spot? Is Khalid likely to to headline a 2nd stage or sub the Strokes?

I'm not a fan of any of those, especially the likely 1-2 of ASAP and Major Lazer which, to me, would be like hell on earth. But, you know, each to their own. I don't think that day tickets will sell out quickly I don't know exact date but it also depends on the artists. In my opinion you don't have to be really fast to get them for that price. The headliners usually play from 21:30 to 23:00 If you want to get barrier then you should go there early. I think the area front of the main stage will be opened at 2pm every day. But if you don't want to get barrier just close to them then it's enough to go there a few hours early. I think Khalid will be the subheadliner of that day. Can't talk about the crowd compared to the UK, but I can say it is fairly easy to get to the front (very difficult to get the barricade spot tho). Khalid will play before, 19.30/45-21.00. Most likely Keane-Khalid-The Strokes. Visiting downtown is easy but at the same time I would not suggest it, as the weather is terribly hot usually and your energy will be drained in a blink of an eye. Up to you, anyway. They're not very big here to be honest (atleast nowhere close to how big they are in the UK). Arctic Monkeys are much much bigger in Hungary. From my experience, unless you are a gigantic act, you need to have played Sziget previously to gather a following here. Lots of my Hungarian friends were more excited about 2DCC and Foals rumours...... I'm a massive Strokes fan that has lived in Budapest for 6 years so I'm very happy with the booking. If Khalid really is the main stage sub for them, I would assume lots of people that go to see him will likely leave after he's finished, so maybe there is a chance to get down the front at that point. In 2011 I saw The Strokes headline Reading, and waited towards the front for like 6 hours before. I don't think it will be necessary at Sziget, and to be honest I will just go with the flow this year and end up where I end up.
