Eminem, The Strokes, Kings of Leon, Calvin Harris, Chemical Brothers, Katy Perry, Shawn Mendes all seem a stick on. Possibly a different female singer.

Not sure anyone feels confident about a female singer. Fingers crossed for Robyn as well.

Biffy out someone said but has that changed.

What if those three returning headliners don't include Shawn Mendes as he wasn't outright headliner in 2018?

So it goes like this:
Returning headliners: Major Lazer, Calvin Harris, Kings of Leon
Rock band, never played Budapest before: The Strokes
Hinted by insiders: Eminem, Shawn Mendes
Female act: Katy Perry

All but Eminem and Katy Perry will be announced this week.

If we piece together JBarbours clues before he went radio silence. Looking at The Strokes, Shawn Mendes and Major Lazor as three of them. I'd just be happy with The Strokes at this point.

@JBarbour hinted at KOL, Harris, The Strokes, Major Lazer and DL so far from what I've gathered. Personally I will gladly take DL over Katy Perry or Lana.

Edit: wait, he hinted at no DL :(

Dua Lipa surely. @JBarbour sounds like he knows his stuff.

+ his hint that we'll have actually 3 out of "Eminem, The Strokes, Kings of Leon, Calvin Harris, Chemical Brothers, Katy Perry, Shawn Mendes."

+ his hint "I'm on call" => KoL

+ Dua Lipa hints

That means we might have The Strokes, Shawn Mendes, Major Lazor, Kings of Leon, Dua Lipa and Eminem.

+ 1 more. Who?

"feels so close" --> Calvin Harris

that messes up the 3 out of 7 tho

I mean the only logical choice is Paul McCartney right? 😉

And no M&M?

P.S. Are we sure that those hints were for headliners only? :D

Maybe it's 3 of those 7 tomorrow.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, and Eminem next week hopefully.

However we missed this one, now we can fear the worst:

Since this comment, apparently:

WHAT IF...Calm Down is actually You Need to Calm Down by Taylor Swift.

I mean she is in US 1st August, but no further dates there, so she could be somehow exclusive.

@The_Preach: is it magic or did we just wrote the same post at the same time? 😀

So that's Due Lipa, Shawn Mendes and Taylor Swift? That sounds like waaay too much pop to me!

What say you @JBarbour

There could be this super conspiration theory, that SzigetLeaks is actually troll and if we consider only clues from Chunky and JBarbour, than these clues actually kinda makes sense.

Or nobody is trolling and we just missread some clues and missing the point.

I'm getting ready for reading angry comments shitstorm on social media when we have the final line-up... it happened to R&L in 2018, so it can happen to Sziget too. If they'll have Shawn Mendes, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, KoL, Calvin Harris, Major Lazer, The Strokes, but no Eminem, it's going to be even worse than the 2017 edition honestly.

    • We'll see. Bristol and Leeds are both massively overdue big public transport investment - 2 of the cities with the worst transport infrastructure per capita in Western Europe. If this works to help support investment projects great and fair play to Burnham.
    • The Bródy Day was his idea because Sziget has always been late when it comes to this kind of concert. They would only organize farewell performances or tribute shows after an artist had passed away. Since Bródy is one of the country's greatest singer-songwriters, they wanted to honor him while he is still alive. (He didn't say it exactly like that, but the man is 80 and has just stopped playing large concerts.) He never understood why anyone would focus exclusively on one generation, especially Gen Z, who have less disposable income, drink less, and are, in his words, "afraid of partying." He explained that in the past, people loved festivals because of the nonstop partying, whereas many younger people today find that experience overwhelming or exhausting. That's one of the reasons why Sziget will introduce more chill zones and sensory-friendly spaces. They also want to attract older generations, who are generally more willing and able to spend money. The Sziget Icons days are aimed at this audience, and in the future they hope to create a more balanced lineup that appeals to people over 35 as well.   It was a long interview. If anything else comes to mind, I'll share it.
    • Maybe you need a groovy mayor who can get you the money.   Anyway, looks like mayors going to get a whole load of fiscal devolution and greater powers...so best everyone gets one, a decent one, and get a load of Madchesterism.
