So out of this pack of bands which one was the 'big name' the late Summer festivals were waiting for?

None. Lowlands usually announce this late (for example 30/1 last year). I guess we are still waiting...

Thanks, I didn't know that. Btw a few years back Sziget announced usually this late too. Like Robbie Williams was (I think) the first name in that year and he was announced in the last first week of January February.

Maybe they didn't want to announce it yet or they don't have it!

I think there is one but they can't announce it yet.

In the same way that they had a big name last year (Ed) and he wanted to announce early, this year's seems to want to announce late.

Reading and Leeds also haven't announced. I assume they both have the same headliner lined up.

To hit both demographics I would think it's probably Eminem or, maybe, RATM.

If the leaker is telling the truth, Chemical Brothers could easily be the second EDM headliner. Would happily take them and the festival does have history with Chems.

If the leaker is true, first I'm gonna hug him with the warmest hug ever, than I'm gonna slap him for saying that Chems are EDM.

Anyway, can we read anything in this Lowland's announcement?

Alot of you might remember me from last year, but I know 3 of the main headliners...

I'll bite. Clues?

Unless one of them is Lana. In which case, you can keep that info to yourself!

Leaked a few from 2018 & 2019 on this forum, not ready just quite yet for 2020. Soon...

Of course we remember you, you always had the right leaks.

I would be more excited if I see RHCP instead of Eminem. And if they both will play Sziget, it's even better... I won't really care if they'll put 3 EDM headliners. :D

it is not a leak if nothing is said ... ;) at best it's a right guess, and good guesses are quite easy when you wait until 3-4 days before official announcement..

Chunkychips leaked lots of names for Sziget 2018, when we also had no idea who'll join the lineup. :P Here's an example:

    • Very quiet in here at the moment.....again.   I hate this time as other festivals start and we see who Sziget should've booked 🤣   The Cure knocking it out of the park once again at Primavera showed that they have fans of all ages and, even if it's felt they don't represent the direction Sziget is going in, they would've been a huge draw.   Ditto The XX, who I've never been a massive fan of tbh, but put me in my place at Primavera with a cracking set.
    • Ballots for BST and Roundhay dates on TfG
    • Yeah, I feel like people are really overlooking just how fantastic Simple Minds are. ABC have a classic 80s new wave album behind them as well.   That being said, yeah it's not worth travelling for. But it's a lineup I would be happy with if it were local to me
    • On the Wet Leg crowd - the opening day always has the worst crowd of the festival. A lot of locals show up purely because it's a cheap evening, often with not much interest in the acts performing, so, while the talking is an issue throughout the festival (and increasingly at gigs/fests everywhere) it's particularly rough on the Wednesday every year. I'll only bother next year if I really like the act playing.  The wristband is basically a souvenir these days, which I like, as I keep them. Also I guess for the festival it's kind of cheap advertising as people walk around the city with them on.
