Hey all, our Glasto group are looking for a new festival this year and thinking of getting involved. Has anyone been to Festival No6 and Bearded? Wondered if it was a similar vibe and size as went to no6 for my stag do and had a great time (apart from how bloody hard it was to get there) thanks

Aww thank you!  I can't tell you how excited I am reading this thread, looking at pics of previous festivals, and generally being back in a festival frame of mind!  Can't wait for an announcement so I can start listening to bands - I've been listening to my 2020 playlist as I think quite a few have been rebooked.

Not been to No6 but for a Glastonbury comparison, it's similar vibe to Avalon.

Just booked a ticket. I'm pretty confident that this will go ahead, going in brother's campervan (though sleeping in a tent next to it) I take it that with a 7m x 7m pitch this is allowed in the Campervan fields?

Any rumours on the artists who were confirmed for May? Patti Smith was the big name IIRC?

Yes thats fine.

Patti Smith is pencilled in.  Only one confirmed so far is Placebo.

I see the wonderful Maximo Park have just announced a few gigs before Beardy ?

I certainly would not object to them headlining or otherwise with the anthems they can throw at us.

They were great last time they played, it was really good to see some younger bands on, I was very impressed.

Does anyone worry about the lack of any announcement by the festival, they said there would be monthly updates in their January update but nothing since and surprisingly nothing since roadmap? I know they said April for lineup but I’m getting concerned (mainly because I’m just really excited to potentially go to a festival again)

Not worried, I think they're just giving a bit more time so there's less chance of announcing it's all on and then pulling the plug again. The bands are booked apparently so it may all come in one big hit.

Aye ! , plus i think this year the pendulum will swing in favour of the festivals with lots of managers etc trying to get their bands/acts out and about again so to speak.

I too thought they were great.  They've cropped up on my playlist a few times since and I still think they sound like a bigger band than they are.

I do hope Primal Scream get confirmed again ? , the band i have prob seen most times.

If the headliners are Mogwai , Primal Scream & Placebo then my astral submissions to Clinton have worked a treat.

Tickets off sale until April 9 when they say they will make a decision if it’s gonna be on or not. Keeping everything crossed now that I’ve booked

I'm not going but still, I really hope they say it's on. Being at the end of the summer, it'll put a big shadow on all the other fests if they decide to cancel =\
