I do think some people in this forum can be so focused on their own more niche interests that they are left with no concept of what’s popular (or famous) in the mainstream

explain yourself Brisole...

I think we need to accept if an artist is selling out stadiums (especially Wembley) they are a bona fide headliner. If there isn’t a headline space for them they won’t be playing.

Taylor is this - those that think she would fit well mid pyramid don’t realise that if it came to that or nothing, her team would probably pick nothing.

Thing is, at the point The Silvery Tay is 7 albums deep.  If you're in your 40s she might appear like some Johnny Come Lately, but if you're in your mid-20s she's basically a heritage act who's been having hits for as far back as you can remember.

Her first charting songs in the UK (Teardrops on My Guitar, Love Story) were in 2007 and 2008.

I’ve been aware of Taylor since I was 11!

? This concept.

It’s misguided but I do sympathise a bit. The UK took a while to warm to Taylor, I’d say it wasn’t until Red we started taking her seriously.

The amount of records she’s sold this decade is unbelievable. Her contemporaries Katy, Gaga, Rihanna etc don’t come anywhere near her numbers. I think some people here struggle to believe it as the playing field seems more level in the UK.

However in the US there is simply no competition. Taylor is miles ahead of everyone (even now).

Don’t post a lot on here but always reading the posts! This is my prediction, just wondering what everyone’s opinions on it are:

•Fleetwood Mac

   -Noel Gallagher’s HFB

•Taylor Swift

   -Foals

•Paul McCartney

   -Paolo Nutini

LS -> The Kinks

By all accounts Macca won’t be touring next summer sadly.

Wouldn’t at all rule him out though! He’s currently on even odds on all betting sites! Along side Michaels comments, seems like it could be a done deal!?

I've had better info than what Michael said. Ignore what Michael said.

Betting sites are about where the money is being placed, and not about the likelihood of it happening.

Why is it whenever I post on here efestivals instantly reply to me, but to no one else! I swear you guys are trying to silence me?

hey, I'm just passing on what I know. It's not personal.

I let some of the macca ones go, and other times I put it back out there hoping people will catch on  to it.

    • With this being a fallow year do we know if the Beeb is going to show any past years highlights or make sets available on Iplayer to give us some glasto content as we await a return to the fields?

    • Brazil's first half was genuinely dreadful all round, not just the midfield, so they're absolutely not bulletproof. Whether Scotland have the quality to take advantage is a different question.   Tbf, that's as much on Morocco looking good, which I did think was a possibility. They could be a bit annoyed with themselves not to have scored more before Vini's goal tbh.
    • Surely nowadays with so much data analytics available on every division in world football and so much awareness that people aren't suckered in on the basis of a decent World Cup game... right?   Although tbf, from what I saw, Australia's game plan worked very well. But that was as much thanks to Turkey blowing varying opportunities given they created enough chances but couldn't finish, a la what happened with Switzerland against Qatar when they really could and should've won by 3/4 goals.
    • I missed Viagra Boys for a good spot for Gorillaz. Was a nice weekend and festival for me. Would definitely come back, if the line up is right. Get back home safe everyone.
