the only hint you need to take seriously is this one from an insider on festileaks: Greg: 2 acts, 3 shows

People seem to think this means the national will play 2 sets

The strokes + The Voidz

Underworld 2 nights

Apparat + Modeselektor doing something incredible?

voidz and strokes are separate bands though so doubt the clue would bunch them in together as the same act

its probably a like act and Dj show from someone

I think the same. I'm afraid one of the 2 names will be Netsky.

On the bright side: the monday announcement will bring rock bands.

More 'rock' names on Monday according to Greg on Festileaks. Definitely pandering to the old-schoolers first by the looks of it. This edition has got so much promise. Think the Foos and Sheeran can be excluded from the names now though.

Be interesting to see what days they both play and whether the National do two consecutive nights or Lowlands in between? Think it will be the former but could depend on which festival booked them first?

got to be two days in a row you'd have thought

Edit - nope, Friday & Sunday!

Really, really looking forward to the Prophets of Rage!

So -

Friday - National (Marquee)

Saturday - Tame Impala, Royal Blood (Main)

Sunday - 21 Pilots, Prophets of Rage, Billie Eilish (Main) The National (Marquee)

Bring on Monday!

incidentally, they've now put a genre selector on the line up page - Rock / Indie / Electronic / Urban / Pop. 5 different genres for 5 different days worth of announcements?

Closing the Marquee twice, according to Pkp's Instagram.

Why? I love the National but why have them twice? I'm seriously confused. Is this the start of a new trend or a cost-cutting exercise?

    • Latest from the sun at least is that harry is still headlining but Olivia has turned down a spot next year to work on new music and hope for 2028.   So they can't have Fender, Fontaines, Harry, Olivia and Madonna.
    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
    • live music / main stage will generally end around 11pm but theres dj’s and late goings on right till 4am if you are so inclined.   Drinks are about £7.50 a pint probably and yes theres lots of mixed drinks / spirits / cocktails available to buy   wonderful festival, back for my third year in a row and 4th overall
    • If anyone sees Lakefest this weekend on any sites please post here, I’ve got alerts set. Been on TFG in recent years and not sold out yet.
