as in if they’re there they won’t go 😂

Nah as in, if they are then they'll go to see them especially like how Rage will be for a lot of others

edit : since there are a few other festivals they were looking at instead and they'd seen Dan's lineup so they weren't super inspired

oh fair play, maybe it’s just my group then, but around manchester i don’t think there’s a massive hype abt them

Also, it really pains me to see the Strokes on the same level as Sam Fender...

There is no chance Sam Fender is subbing Reading at this stage of his career. This fake has blatantly been done by a Geordie!

Not seen that.

I'm just passing on what I have heard. Maybe it isn't true but I'm just the messenger.

Tom Grennan ain't going from headlining festival republic to opening the Radio 1 stage.

Also, The Strokes isn't happening so stop.

I can't see past BMTH not being there. No UK dates at all, they must be on the bill.

Defo Eminem, Liam and BMTH/Biffy

I'm 22 and from Manchester and the two lads I live with (20 and 19) both love the strokes and I would 100% go see them if they were there

Why are we thinking Eminem?  Stormzy has to be a bigger pull than someone that headlined in 2017 surely?

Cause people in the Sziget thread have leaked he is headlining and its in the same time period, we are low on headliners and Stormzy is playing Leeds a few weeks later. 3 years is around a normal time scale now when you consider Fall Out Boy, Biffy etc. As the Sziget booker said August festivals dont have many acts to choose as most are touring August. Dan said he would tell us all he knew if we got to 300, I believe he was telling the truth and thats the trio, makes sense.

Dan said Stormzy / Liam / Rage

Also said mcr first.

I'm still thinking Stormzy / Liam / MCR + BMTH

gonna be a tough week at work waiting for the lineup to drop.

The Strokes don’t have any UK dates, ‘it isn’t happening so stop’.

BMTH don’t have any UK dates, ‘they must be on the bill.’

No he didnt. He said MCR, then Stormzy, Liam, Rage and then he said Eminem, Liam and Biffy/Bring Me. MCR arent playing, will people understand this - they have sold out 75k tickets and are not returning in August, Dan was having us on for keep mentioning them. They arent playing. Stormzy, Liam, Rage could well be true but the Hellfest organiser has said Rage arent coming to Europe till 2021, yes things could happen quickly but Stormzy is playing Leeds a few weeks later, two headliners who are doubtful, hence why the third and most likely pairing due to Dan saying its all he knew and the fact Bring Me have no UK dates - RandL exclusive, Biffy havent played in four years and are doing Big Weekend, that and RandL makes perfect sense and as I previously mentioned August festivals have a limited pool for headliners, Eminem is playing Sziget and a big ticket seller, with the limited pool he has to be there. Makes perfect sense contrary to how much I want Rage that it is:

Eminem, Liam and Biffy/BMTH

Of course the first trio could be correct but it is very unlikely. MCR due to the 75k tickets also arent gonna co-headline. They arent playing, understand that.

The Strokes are not a British Band, I also didn't mention their dates.

It makes no sense for BMTH to be active around the dates of Reading & not play it.

The Strokes aren't headlining with no new material for 7 years, even if the new album is coming. 2021 maybe. Not this year.

MK Stadium seats 31,000 and all 3 of their dates sold out.

Their return is big enough that people will pay to see them again.

I personally think it was a double bluff. I think BMTH would be happy to sub under them with a "special guest" tag but who knows.

Biffy / BMTH is a strong co headline. Would need a decent radio 1 headliner opposite Liam & Eminem though. Literally 0 interest.

    • Saw Myles Smith at Circuit last night - with my kids and my nephews and niece who’d never been to a gig before. Nice one for them to start with. Now with some big hits under his belt and an album launching I think he’ll be around for a while. Comes across as a genuinely lovely guy who’s happy to be there.
    • It certainly seems to becoming “a thing”, if you look back over the last few years lineup
    • If you had to come through the fence after coming down the hill if you weren’t already down the hill then you were probably in general. From there the blocks of toilets, showers and water points aren't far at all and to your right is aldi. I know of the lake but apparently it fills up super quick and is noisy and loads of bugs....I got bitten as it was lol. But I joined a solo camp WhatsApp group so followed them.
