The shuttle bus ticket is only from the festival to Plaza de Colon at night. Everyone will use public transportation or uber/taxi to come to the festival during the day. Is there much to do at the festival? I was at NOS alive a couple of years ago and it was really boring between bands.

I don't think you'll have a problem at Mad Cool. The two main stages alternate with 5 or 10 minutes from the end of one to the start of the other. The other stages are also running at the same time. Barely ever a moment without music somewhere on the site.

If you mean is there anything else to do apart from the music - not really, although they had a big wheel last year.

The schedule looks quite busy with 7 stages but besides that there will be several boots of sponsors and a ferris wheel. You can watch the second half of it as well.

I am quite surprised how July 14th which is the day with most headliner-level bands will be the last day that will get sold out.

I have 4 bus tickets that are no use for me as we are not staying near the town centre (as mentioned earlier, I'd misread the comms and hoped it was a shuttle service).

Anyone after these? We're in Madird from the Wednesday.

On another note, I saw NIN at Southbank on Friday and they were incredible, so much better live than recorded.

Trent swung his guitar at the microphone stand quite near the beginning and the microphone smacked Atticus in the face. He hardly reacted!

Ilan is such an incredible drummer - hoping for a similar show at NIN but I can imagine the intimacy of Friday's gig will be the big difference.

I was at both the royal festival hall and the rah, amazing gigs! The new stuff sounds incredible, so much energy. I think the festival sets will be a bit more ‘hit’ orientated, but I’m happy with anything tbh

so i bought 2 ticket packs off the fnac website and only one of the wristband codes seems to work. freaking out a little bit here! has anyone else experienced this? glad i checked this with 2 weeks in advance!

They just announced today that there will be a Performing Arts space

Well we finally received an email yesterday saying that our tickets have been sent via DHL. No idea when they will arrive as it doesn't give us an expected date - so will need to keep checking the tracking details. Have you guys had an email about yours yet? Just hope they arrive before we have to fly out there now (luckily we are close to the East Mids DHL depot!)?

So to clarify... the bus is just for getting back to the city center after 2:30 am so people don't get stranded with no transport, right? It only runs towards the end of the show (late night/early morning), there is to shuttle TO the festival. Right?

No. There are trains for that. Metro to Feria De Madrid (pink line) or Cercanias from Atocha or Principe Pio to Valdebebas (Line C1 or C10).

Didn't get an e-mail, but our VIP packs turned up today with the wristbands. Very happy we can just turn up and enter without having to queue up.

That pack looks really cool, you've got a couple of different things to the FNAC pack I've got. Is the thing in the box just a keyring? Nice of them to throw in some Tesco vouchers as well.

So we're sure tram 8 is going all night right? Because they said in an article a few months ago that they'd do that but I think last week they said in another article that they're still working on that with the city?? So I'm pretty confused rn.

If by 'the thing in the box' you mean the bit of plastic that look like a cassette - it's a lanyard.

The Tesco vouchers didn't come with pack. They don't give those things away for free you know. Oh, wait a minute .......     ?
