Predictions for 2018

The National must be high up their list of potential bookings. Beck too, I'd say.

Heard a rumour that Feist was actually meant to headline this year, but stuff happened. So maybe she'll play next year instead.

Smaller bands? Oh I don't know, after all the plaudits they've received this year, maybe WH Lung will be catapulted up the bill.

GY!BE would be a dream booking.

Would love to see Spiritualized too...garden stage would be perfect but guess they'd have to be Woods.

The National are too big and frankly too dull nowadays for me.

Nick Cave would be a dream...too big again I guess.

Did you see Will Oldham at the Union Chapel last month? He was bloody brilliant. I know Simon was there, hopefully tapping him up.

And what is Pajo up to these days? Haven't heard from him in AGES

I did yes . like you say he was wonderful. I'm sure he must be towards the top of there list every year. I know David pajo seems to be in a lot better place in his life now , which is good after his ordeal . His album in 2016 was excellent. Would love to see him there .

Sadly, Richmond Fontaine have called it a day, but Delines tracks are in the pipeline.

Also, my tent should be dry by September, which is good.

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
