Any one like barclay james harvest.. Caught abit of them Glastonbury a few years back.. Abit of medicine man goes down well imo

Saw them live at Weeley in 1971, with a full orchestra. It took about 3 hours to get it all set up, a bit of a drag when there was only 1 stage. In the end one of the most memorable sets I ever saw.

Went along to acoustic to see them in 2016, left after about 15 minutes disappointed that it didn't love up to my memories.

I'm finding that there are so many of these early, grainy, scratchy, seventies Soul Train Clips out there now! Could watch them all night myself. Your Equalizer is your friend.

Curtis Mayfield, with a timeless lyric, and Sly & the Family Stone being, well,  Funky.....

Neil Young released an album he sat on since 1976 last week.- Hitchhiker , that is Hitchhiker with the double H, no hyphen.

Have a listen to that, if you get the chance

Agree with earlier posts about Barclay James Harvest.  From a similar period it's worth hunting out Roxy Music, especially their live concert in Frejus.

Great arrangements and wonderful backing singers, especially Tawitha Agee.

Also as a live band Dire Straits still led the way.

I was at that gig Grumpy. Just happened to be on holiday in Frejus that week. As far as i remember it was great, although my main memory was the hour or two we had to wait afterwards as our car had been triple parked.

    • Sorry matey.  Always a nightmare when you have a plan and something scuppers it.   Happy myself, fills a nice little gap for me. Lucky so far really.     I’d have preferred an alternative too to break up the 21 pilot set but shan’t complain
    • Happy with the name, unhappy with what it did to the lineup. Now I have to choose between Florence Road and Beirut 😞 and still no alternative to 21p.
    • Odd and rare for RW indeed! I even remember reading in the past that one of the reasons for certain bands not appearing there, were similar demands being rejected. It’s weird that they play after Gorillaz and even more weird that there won’t be an alternative. All they had to do was push Pixies to later.
    • Klymaxx (The classic lineup) are rumoured to be back together and planning shows.    100k at this. Pyramid field shut down from the bandstand
    • Self Esteem on TfG for the new BA venue in London next week   Also McFly at the Piece Hall, and several for Llangollen summer sessions.   I think is starting to show the new unused inventory platform starting to kick in. Could be be seeing a lot more last minute stuff from now on.
