It's just the same as most other gigs/festivals, random searches. However, having had to deal with the aftermath of smoke bombs, flares, fireworks and the like i'd just ask you to think about it

Presumed these would be limited to less than 1000 so snatched up a few tickets first thing, but they’re already over that number so perhaps not as limited as I first thought.

Ach....maybe if you just bought them yesterday or something, but better than the gig getting canned due to low sales, or the total brasser of going along and the place having tumbleweeds blowing around in it.

Happens a lot at British Summer Time.  Was it Blur where they had to sell off loads of tickets for a fiver?

Really annoying!

Thought Queen would be a decent draw but the fact they had a gig in Glasgow so recently and were announced so late on has probably caused slow sales.

Texas are a poor sub-headliner too - last time they played t in the park they were 3rd or 4th down on the NME stage.

That would be my suspicion.  Plus there's probably only a maximum number of fence-sitters who're willing to take a gamble on the Adam Lambert show.

I've been predicting them to headline Download. Can't be much worse a draw than KISS would be, right?

to fair, they did far better at IoW.

But I agree they're not really festival-suitable. Fans of not-really-Queen want to see them with all the creature comforts, and not no creature comforts.

The way this was priced will make it interesting. If ticket sales have been so poor they are giving away half price normal tickets, the golden circle or whatever it’s called is going to look prerty daft if it’s half empty. Be difficult to remove the more expensive vip bit and just open things up as normal as some will have paid a premium price to be nearer the front

You still see a lot of KISS patches and T shirts at Download. You don't see any Queen ones. Queen were just a bit too mainstream to appeal to the Download massive I reckon. Personally I'd take Queen every time over that crappy disco band but hey that's just me. I'm hoping Adam Lambert doesn't annoy me too much at TRNSMT seeing as I paid full price.

Maybe a little unfair to use that metric seeing as KISS are the kings of the merch game but perhaps you're right. If Q+AL struggle to draw in their own fans to festivals and KISS are fairly popular with cats already inside the gates then I suppose they could well win out.

      So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.

      I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
