It does seem odd them waiting so long now to announce the Friday. I imagine something hasn't gone to plan behind the scenes rather than it being due to embargo etc.

Jessie Ware announced for main stage Killers day completing a strong main stage but very poor tuts stage for me.

I got an email from TRNSMT about an announcement & I got way too overexcited at the prospect of finally finding out that final headliner. So bizarre how they've not even mentioned a single thing about the 6th.

I'm guessing  they originally planned for a weekend of LG, Killers and AM with Stereophonics subbing one but with the change to 5 day have been left struggling for a 5th headliner. Guessing they're gonna be very weak at this point tbh.

They'll be settling for Gerry Cinnamon moving day and headlining at this rate.

All the adverts read "Your 4 headliners" so I wouldn't be surprised.

Heading into March with still no word on final headliner.

If they weren’t still selling 5-day tickets, I’d have assumed they quietly canned it.

It’s either going to blow everyone out of the park or be unbelievably weak at this stage.

Unbelievably weak for sure.

 

Makes me wonder why they didn't just do the 3 day festival n have the Killers play just a standalone show the week after like Bruno Mars is. Possibly someone dropped out but can't think who.

Either canned or unbelievably weak. 99% certain they won't blow us away.

The last email they sent out included all five days in the title so they're either still working on it, or have something.

Something else. The Killers' day, outside of them and CHVRCHES, is basically Festival No 6.

Might just be that they’re waiting for the band to be ready, like when they announced Arctic Monkeys it was along with a string of other festivals.

It's a shame that it's probably gonna be an extremely disappointing announcement now, due to the fact so many acts can be ruled out at this point. All this wait for (possibly) nothing exciting.

In Glasgow he would probably sell tickets better than some other possible headliners at this point!!!

They’d have stopped selling five-day tickets by now if that was the case, you’d have thought.

It's all extremely strange, not even a single hint of "your 5th headliner will be announced soon" or anything. I would've thought they'd pull 5 day tickets pretty quickly, unless a lot of people have forked out for those & they're struggling to get that final headliner, which would be surprising if that was the case.

The only big "headlining" bands that have albums/tracks due out in the next while that haven't announced any UK dates to my knowledge are Muse (they've said they're not doing UK shows this year, so they're out,) Thirty Seconds To Mars & The 1975 (I know they subbed last year so I'm doubtful.) Paramore were also in my head for a bit, and their Hydro show in January was excellent, but unless the rest of the day is incredible, I can't see it selling out.
