I read on another thread that it's 2 for coach and 4 for general. Sucks.

That is correct- could be worse, didn't they limit it to just 2 for the main sale back in 2004 or 2005 or something? I remember it made for a strange festival as it seemed to be mainly couples as a result

I'm in exactly the same predicament as you (and was the previous couple of times I had to try in the resale) but didn't want to speak up in fear of the backlash, because yes, of course we should be trying in the coach sale, but I fucking love the Wednesday and it would suck so much to not be there that day.

Managed to bag tickets in the main resale the last couple of times so, even though it may lead to me not being there at all, I'll probably do the same this time.

Also got informed by the one person I thought I could count on to come with me (he never shuts up about it) that he now can't afford it and so am currently left pleading with people to come. It'll be fine - at worst I'll go and do it alone, or just latch on to a group of people I kind of know like I did in '14 - but it's send the shits up me and me being there even moreso, and I'm not exactly the outgoing type so meeting up with strangers and/or attempting to make friends is a no-go).

Please consider camp solo. I've joined and the WhatsApp group is a very friendly place (busy too, I've given up trying to keep up).   You don't have to be outgoing to make friends.

I was nervous about the meet last year. @Curlygirl offered to meet me beforehand. It didn't work out due to the traffic but I appreciated the offer.

If you join camp solo I'd be happy to meet you and guide you in :-)

Also I'm sure there will be some Wednesday coaches in the resale, although more in demand?

Cheers JoBalls. :)  I must admit to being well up for any help in getting a couple of tickets. My only problem is to sort out another two people to go in to the 'group' with us and then sort out who does the paying etc. There is a list somewhere that a very kind bloke called Chris has formulated. Unfortunately every time I look at that list I come away non the wiser as to what I'm meant to do. It's purely my fault because a big 'screen' kind of comes up and I can't see the wood for the trees. I may as well be trying to read Russian. This happens to me with anything remotely mathematical or political. The maths thing is a pain in the arse, but I'm really quite happy to be politically ignorant.

If it's OK with you then, I'll contact you at a later date with names, registration no's etc etc?

I think people are meant to use the sheet to group themselves. Then volunteers will attach themselves to a group.  It sounds like you've got lots of helpers which is good.

I'm glad you've decided to go without Mrs Yog. I'm going without Mr Miesh for the first time.  I'll miss him but I think it shows the strength of our relationship that we're happy with the decision.

Also none of that nonsense about nerves at meeting up with efests folk. Lots of people feel the same, me included.

You are such a well loved character on here. You can't deny us the chance to meet you. And I know from a friend who's met you how much fun a few hours in your company is. No pressure to perform though. Be yourself and let others do the talking till you feel comfortable x

Hello Miesh,

I'll have another go at looking at the group thing to see if I can make sense of it.

As far as the Mrs Yog thing goes, it's going to be a bit weird at times not being with her. I can, occasionally, get a bit of existential angst after having had a 'smoke'. I really don't want to add missing Mrs Yog to that equation at Glastonbury, as my head will probably explode! That said, I'll be with friends - old and new.

I'm intrigued about your friend who has met me. I think / know who it is, but have a nagging doubt that I could be wrong.

Tickets permitting I look forward to meeting up with you at the efests meet up. :)

I've never had coach tickets before, or re-sale, and I'm intending on giving half my family and friends all the details to help me and my mate.

what details will I need to give exactly....

Registration numbers, post codes and bank details? Anything else?

with the bus, does it allocate you a day/time before you've bought tickets, or once you're at booking page? Don't want to book then be told my bus is Friday.

Cheers in advance for any help given.

It was someone I met on here, it was pre 2014 that she met you. Her name is Katie.  We can discuss further at the meet hopefully.

I know there will be moments when I will miss Mr Miesh, this will be the longest time I've been apart from him and 21st June is the 10th anniversary of his proposal.   I'll ring or text him (depending on the time of night) and remind myself how I would have regretted staying at home.

You are correct re what you need to give people.

With coaches you can choose departure point and day (Wednesday or Thursday). Some suggest you try for Thursday departure first as Wednesday ones go first and may be sold out before you complete.  The times are confirmed nearer the festival, although I think from e.g. London where there are lots of coaches you might get a choice at booking, not sure though.

Good luck.

I was indeed right to have that nagging doubt, as I thought you were talking about someone else entirely.

I think that this is the approach that I'll take too. If I do get a ticket then I think that there's a fair chance that this will be my Glastonbury swansong, so I'd better make the most of it.

But you can buy tickets for other people with your card right...even if your not one of the people you're buying a ticket for? This is stressing me out so much. So worried that I'm going to mess it up because of that. Maybe its just easier for my friend to give me his card details. But because I've convinced like 5 people to help him, some of whom don't know him, it gets a bit tricky.

Although I guess it seems to work for the efest helpers :-)

You can buy a ticket for someoneelse,  (you don't need to be buying one yourself) you need their registration and postcode. Is it just the one ticket? The important thing is if it's for more than one person then helpers must try for both people. Otherwise you could get through and end up with a message "a ticket has been purchased with this registration" and lose out trying to go back and rectify.

Hope this makes sense.

Happy to do so again miesh... I know we will have no problem getting onto the site this year! Last year was just awful.

Cool, thanks...I will stop fretting about this now :)

Yeh, coach for one, because organising everyone from the same destination is too much of a ball ache. Three for resale (if coach is unsuccessful) but we have a crew sorted so hopefully no mess ups there. The first year I was getting tickets someone in another team had accidentally given their details to someone else...thus when someone from their team got through they got that message. I have nightmares of that reoccurring!

There most definitely will be no problems this year.

Thank you, I think I've got a bit more confidence this year,  so I'll say I look forward to meeting you there.

However I'll keep you in mind in case of last minute wobbles :)

you can use http://www.checkpage.co.uk to get an alert by both email and txt msg to your phone.

Would I be able to use checkpage to monitor if any Worthy View Tents are put up for resale?

I ask the question as you need to enter your reg no. and postcode before getting to the page to see if any are currently available.
