Friday

Pyramid: Radiohead, the XX, the national, stormzy

Other: Major Lazer, Royal Blood, The Flaming Lips

Saturday

Pyramid: Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, Lorde, Kaiser Chiefs, Craig David

Other: Alt J, Haim, Courteeners

Sunday

Pyramid: Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Chic, Barry Gibb, Emeli Sande

Other: Boy Better Know, London Grammar, Phoenix

Nice, neat, accurate, no one in weird placings ...

correct

I didn't thinking havig Biffy sub the Other would put them against the FF, would they? If anything it would give people a chance to see both if they wanted

Anyway, how about

Fri: Radio, XX, National

Lazer, Royal Blood

Sat: FFs, Biffy

Alt J, Lorde

Sun: Ed, Perry, Chic, Gibb

BBK

Biffy will clash possibly due to the length of the FF's set.

Why does everyone keep putting Chic against Phoenix? That is the question. Pretty resigned to the fact I'll miss Phoenix but still.

If it goes as Matt says then Phoenix would probably start about the same time Chic finished with the way the timings usually work, though that then gives you a Katy Perry/Phoenix clash which might be just as big an issue!

This be a fair point.

In order of ascendancy, I'm looking at Radiohead, Chic, Katy Perry, The National and Barry Gibb of the artists I haven't seen before. But Phoenix are very much in the mix, so it's a weird one. Ditto The XX.

What I could do with is Phoenix cropping up atop JP Saturday night. I'm planning to see The Jacksons as it stands but not wholly sold on them. Phoenix would be a great shout. Hell, Phoenix headlining the Sunday night on West Holts would be a winner for me. The foursome of Ed, BBK, Cinematic Orchestra and Metronomy aren't bad per se - it's just not how I want to finish the weekend. Coldplay were joyously uplifting, as I heard LCD were too. Phoenix would provide that hit.

I'd be all for Phoenix headlining a stage on Saturday or Sunday as like yourself I quite like the options so far but nothing's grabbing me yet, I think they're destined for an evening Other stage slot though after headlining JP last time. I'm kind of half expecting to miss them already with the way clashes will no doubt work out.

Why are they billed higher than 2 acts who are gonna be subbing, though? They won't be playing longer sets than them.

They are not billed 'higher' than the other two acts. They are on the same line, is Radiohead billed 'higher' than Foo or Ed?

My theory of why they are after the xx is because they are playing on the Friday.

If The National are third down Friday, where does that leave Royal Blood? We're pretty sure they're gonna be Friday and your Stormzy rule about Other subs not being above Other headliners would apply to them to.

Why can't Royal Blood be 4th down Friday Pyramid?

So it's Royal Blood -> National -> The xx -> Radiohead

Phoenix into Justice Sunday evening would be great. Could also shimmy over to Metronomy apres-ca. I think the masses are sleeping on how much of a party Metronomy will be that night.

Thought from the start the poster makes perfect sense. That Major Lazer, Alt-J, BBK placing stood out like a sore thumb.

Radiohead - The XX

Foo Fighters -The National

Ed Sheeran - Biffy Clyro

Katy Perry playing third down on one of those days. She'll get enough cred from playing Glastonbury without demanding to sub. Fits in with the 'two years of music' line from Emily too, almost a fourth sub. Win-win.

Have you been prescribed English Riviera when you should've been listening to Nights Out all this time?

English Riviera is the one I've dabbled with most but I gave Nights Out a listen recently and just turned it off half way. I'll try again one day I'm sure - just never seems to grab my attention.

Metronomy have 5/6 songs I think are great but I've never been taken by any of their albums. I'm happy to have them and The Cinematic Orchestra as backups though and if it comes down to that then it'll most likely be Metronomy as I'll have had my downbeat fix on the Friday. I did enjoy them in the William's Green secret set tbf and I'm hoping to catch them at Primavera too so I might be more into it nearer the time.

Ah shite I forgot they were at Primavera. Again, if clashes work out that way I may give em another go, although with how stacked that lineup is it's unlikely I'll be having much spare time for acts I kind of like.

How long before the festival is it that The ClashFinder actually becomes accurate? I guess once we have the stage breakdown that helps... but does the thingy have a date for settime announcements? Or are they not announced until the festivañ? I genuinely can't remember!

I'm really hoping we have stage splits before Primavera so I can try to balance out who to see where, though with the way both lineups are heading it'll no doubt just be clashes everywhere.

Nah we don't get the times until much later on, but seeing as we have previous years times we can get a general idea that may be just a bit off.

Aye I'm sure we will as it's gonna be wall to wall acts I can feel (and some awful clashes to boot).

Exactly the same as me. I might try and get press later in the year for their London show but I'll see how things pan out.

Who are your must sees then?
