I can't say I'm the biggest ATCQ fan, but it was far and away my number one choice out of the three.

I have faith in the West Holts bookers though.

Do we think that a tribe called quest were nailed on then or were they only rumoured? I was really hoping to see them on the lineup. I'd be happy with Damian Marley stepping in or RTJ or even Leftfield.

Just noticed Baloji is headlining The Gully on Saturday, what do people reckon the chances of him doing a day time West Holts slot a la Protoje last year?

Very keen to see him but Saturday night is Dead Kennedys night.

It's possible, but before The Gully poster came out he'd already self-confirmed for there and it was the only performance he mentioned.

Pity - I saw him at the 6Music festival and he smashed it.

Likely if ATCQ were going to be Fridays headliner and have cancelled, they would just bump up Anderson Paak (rumoured to be subbing West Holts)- at this late stage it's unlikely they could summon a great new headliner. he seems good from what I've heard- liked his album a lot

Not been a fan of bump us since Bowie pulled out of T in the Park the week beforehand and they bumped up The Darkness to replace him.

I don't think that will happen. He's already a small WH sub and he'd get an embarrassing crowd as a headliner.

Two of the three festivals ATCQ have pulled out of have already announced a replacement, and they're at just as short notice as Glasto.

There are potential WH headliners around at the time who aren't on the lineup. Grace Jones, Orbital, George Benson (big enough?), so I imagine they'll be properly replaced.

They feel too small to me but I don't really know much about them. Not sure I could see them being given any slot other than Other openers now.

Mondays and Black Grape are both active through the summer. I thought Black Grape were absolutely nailed on for the festival. New album due, new tunes to play, Hacienda Classical there as well. 

If you mixed the Black Grape and Mondays stuff, you would have a perfect West Holts headliner. Shame they seem to be 2 separate entities.

Would not whinge at Ice Cube though, I would rather him than ATCQ. Would be a must see for me.

In that case, I wouldn't have said they'd be totally out of place on WH.  Probably a bit on the indie lad side, but it's still generally pretty groovy stuff.

Though with every day passing I'm starting to think that the answer is hiding in plain sight and it's gonna be something like The Cinematic Orchestra or DJ Shad ow.

I think Black Grape would be the better fit for West Holts, Just not big enough though.

Hmmmmm. ....thing with Black Grape is that the volume of pretty rubbish material far outweighs the 3 or 4 genuinely brilliant tracks.  The Mondays have a solid setlist of bangers.

Ouch! That's like saying we've run out of fine mature cheddar so have some dairylea.

Saw happy Mondays headlining our local sportbeat festival last year, was good fun. Think they're doing let's rock bristol this year. I'd be happy with seeing them again as currently headlinerless for Fri.

I really hope they don't do that. I'm already stressed enough about whether its worth risking getting a shit space for Radiohead to at least catch the first half of his set....if they bump him up I'm really fucked!

Plus he's awesome and I want him to get a good crowd

He was probably in my top 5 acts to see but I've written him off totally now due to Radiohead. Radiohead will get a 2.5 hour set and he probably won't even start until the gap between them and The xx. No chance of me seeing any of his set and getting a good spot for Radiohead.
