Have to admit, if it was an Arcadia accident it's kinda freaked me out a bit because I always assumed that with something that big and potentially dangerous the safety precautions around it would be huge...

That's terrible news. Unexplained too - I think this was a tent fire, someone cooking inside out of the weather and a bit too much gas and a flaming tent... it adds up too easily with the AA landing where it did and that patch of tents and the security between the two.

Our thoughts shall be with his family and friends - but also each other and let's make sure it's the last one.

Awful news surprised it hasn't had a lot more attention on here, I guess everyone's incredibly busy today mind you.

Truly awful though, puts things into perspective on this day. It's so much sadder that he died trying to create some of the magic that makes our festival special. RIP

makes me feel sick! what an awful ending to a truly disturbing story, hope he wasn't in too much pain at the end, and hats off to everyone who puts in the work to make our festival as magical as it is. Will be toasting him on Friday xx

Makes my concerns about the weather and state of the ground seem shallow and pathetic.  Poor guy.  Thoughts are with his family and friends - wish there was something more useful I could offer.

I've been thinking about this poor guy ever since I read it happened. Really sad  puts everything into perspective really

They should do a short tribute to him if they can when they do the Bowie thing. He might not be Bowie or Prince, but he's died creating something we love and should be remembered.
