Radiohead touring in 2016

Mate got through, made up! Friday night, should be a cracker.

Not at all sure about the fairness of this queue system though. A friend trying at work has the exact same space in the queue as my remaining window. It's as if it's treating everyone from this IP address as if they're the same person, which is obviously wrong. And I got pushed back up the queue a couple of times - which may well have been as other people in the building tried/refreshed. Very unfair.

christ looks like there'll be a fair few of us at the Friday show then!

yeah, i take back everything i said about the queueing systems being fair - that was ridiculous, made even more apparent by them giving you a queue number which was constantly moving back and forth

Please excuse my language as all I have to say to that is 'horrible fucking c**ts'

Imagine having thee nerve to meet someone face to face to give them a ticket you've overcharged them £900 for. Only saving grace is they're most likely filthy stinking rich and don't care.

Got a 2 Friday tickets! Straight through at 9:00, simple as! Radiohead at the Roundhouse on my girlfriend's birthday is gonna be something really special for both of us.

Sorry to everyone who didn't get one. Have a go on twickets nearer the time if you can!

I can highly recommend the tiny 'Spiritual Caiprinha' bar around the corner from the Roundhouse on Ferdinand Street for pre- or post-gig drinks. Although pre-gig caiprinhas are not necessarily conducive to a clear recollection of the evening's performance.

Don't rub it in Sir Robin!

My thoughts exactly. It is strange how they always get tickets... And so soon after they go on sale. Clearly we're all friends with the wrong people...

I got up this morning as have been stewing over whether to bite the bullet and pay £150 ish for the New Order ticket at RAH. After seeing that Radiohead listing there is no chance. I will risk missing out rather than contribute to the touts cause.

Viagogo, Stuhub and Seat wave are scandalous. How these sites are allowed is ridiculous.

Worse than that, imagine having the emotional detachment to be able to walk them in and walk straight back out yourself because that's usually standard protocol for them. Not only charging someone an insane amount of money but also stopping another person from getting the ticket they have no intention of using other than to get in the venue. Nothing makes me angrier than this very thing

i'll have to remember that! although yep, moreso than ever i'm gonna have to be careful how much i drink beforehand, because if i wake up the next day and can't remember the second half of the gig i'll be mighty pissed

Not gonna lie, I think RAH is so worth that money and it is usually one of the most reasonably priced venues in London considering the experience you get. That said, not contributing is the only way we can show how we feel about it but unfortunately when you have kids with parents who are willing to pay whatever to make their child happy with a ticket to the latest commercial pop act, along with everyone else with more money than sense, these sites will always survive and continue to make an impact on the rest of the live music market.

Ah sorry didn't mean to come across like that. The bar is handy for any gig at the Roundhouse, and indeed remains available throughout the year!

Just frustrated to miss out despite all my efforts! I hope you all have a great time.

Well this is my problem mate. I am on a reasonable income and have no responsibility apart from a mortgage and looking after myself. I am far from rich but after 10 years studying and working full time I am determined to enjoy myself after having no life for so long.

Yet if I pay that much for a ticket then I am just fueling the fire. It is difficult as such a gig would be something that I would remember for the rest of my life. It is not as if I am in London and can roll up on the night. I have to book two days off work, book a hotel and so on. I would much rather have a ticket now. Where do you draw the line though? Do you miss out on what could possibly be one of the best nights of your life as a matter of principal?

There is a ticket available for Gallery standing at RAH for a reasonable price. Is the gallery any good? I do not want to get stuck in the gods with a poor view really.

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if it was £425.  If I recall there was a significant jump about 10 years ago and with the prices of gigs significantly inflating in the last couple of years I can see another big jump coming.
    • I think they are just sold out ..... I find it highly unlikely that the entire arena wouldn't go on sale for a band the size of muse straight away.   Theres also some in those blocks on sale on resale sites
    • Personally, I do hope Fontaines headline next year. Feels like it's their time in terms of the contemporary element - I know 2028 could equally be but I think (and speaking as an old git) they are probably the most significant band to emerge for a good few years, and they've already accumulated 4 great albums, let alone adding 5th, to field a memorable setlist.

    • Alright fair, I thought she only did BST once. Though I do question how that type of pop show will translate to a stadium.
