Radiohead touring in 2016

I will have to try for tickets me thinks. Normally if I am confident they would be at G I would wait but as I am not I will probably at least try.

Ill be at the roundhouse twice in a matter of days if I get tickets which will be nice, Roundhouse is a great venue.

Yeah the Roundhouse is definitely one of my fav venues. So good! But these tickets will sell out in mins.

Theres got to be something else in the works. Uk show wise. 3 nights at the roundhouse is what, 10k people max? Theyre almost quadrupling that with 2 shows at MSG. This cant be their only shows on uk soil in 2016.

1,700 capacity. So 5,100 tickets in total. Lose VIPs etc and you're looking at 4,500 for the whole of the UK.

When they played the o2 in 2012, it was a nightmare trying to get tickets and they sold out in a couple minutes - it's going to be near on impossible for Roundhouse, with a capacity 1/10 of the size.

I think thats the seated capacity. Standing capacity is 3000 i think. But i could be wrong. Im all for intimate concerts especially with radiohead, but even if it is best case scenario and 3000, thats nothing. Its just not catering for their uk Fanbase. Id be absolutely fuming if i lived north of england, scotland or NI. Something else has got to be lined up.

I always find seetickets to be the way forward. Got through instantly on see and bought the tickets within a minute.

I always say (even to myself) that if I just have to go and see a band, I have to buy a ticket. It's the only way it's guaranteed.

You're right - 3,300 when standing. never realised they ever put seats in TBH.

So 9,000 for the whole of the Uk.

Arcade Fire there in 2014 was unbelievable but at least then ticket sales were screened via those who had preordered the album. This will be a roll of the dice.

That would normally be the case, but due to the immense demand these shows will generate, getting through on the roundhouses website might be easier as traffic will be less than on see tickets and the other bigger online ticket selling outlets.

They probably just want to play a smaller venue, probably because the festivals will be all massive crowds.  They're going multiple dates in the same place, so it's nothing to do with demand.

They seem like just the type of shows that a huge band would do before playing a major UK festival in the summer.

This is what is keeping the Glasto dream alive. I just cannot accept theyd play 3 shows in the UK to 9900 fans, and not have anything else penciled in. But i also cannt fathom where they would play at Glastonbury other than headlining. All this talk of subbing just doesnt make sense.

Makes sense. Was just wondering if it is the sort of thing like road-testing the In Rainbows material prior to the album release in 2006.

Radiohead are performing UK gigs in a small venue. Any reasons why they couldn't also play a small festival venue? Discuss.
