little disappointed as strings are such an integral part of the album, but still sounds fantastic

yep. wonder if they're doing the album in full or just starting it off that way

I imagine they're just opening with a couple from the new album, like they did a lot when touring TKOL

I bet arcadefireman is stood right behind Dan Dow and his phone held aloft.

He's probably whispering to Dan Dow that he's also seeing them tomorrow night and then in London next week as well :P

tbh without the full orchestra an album in full set would seem a little daft - the full orchestra setup was the one thing that made the album in full thing seem like it would work. reckon they'll move on to some older stuff next

edit: well i was wrong

Remember, everything is going to sound a lot thinner since it's being broadcast from a mobile phone.

Thought Burn the Witch sounded immense. Seeing them in July, so decided to turn the stream off as I don't want to cheapen the experience at all.

Hmm, maybe I've dodged a bullet by going Berlin over Roundhouse - surely they won't do this at festivals?

That's not out of not liking the new album, but for the first time I see them I'd like something a bit more career-spanning ideally.

    • Yeh, the quiet camping also seems to be on the same side (broadly) as the bits of the festival that go on the latest (Far Out / Chai Waalahs / RTT until 4am). We're always in Tangerine Fields which is right behind the main stage and as soon as that and Rising Stage are done it's pretty quiet (midnight onwards) which I'd guess is pretty similar if you can hack taking all your gear from the car past the big tree in the middle and into the campsites that side.
    • Can't see Bimble line up anywhere - am I being dense and missing an obvious release somewhere?
    • Not expecting a tour imminently but Peter Gabriel would fit the vibes magnificently.
    • I have but a very long time ago and can remember nothing about it at all. Which I suppose is a review of sorts
    • Addison Rae has 33m instagram followers, Slayyyter 667k. Also 15 to 7,5 million spotify listeners with Addison's last release being more than a year ago. Obviously these metrics aren't everything, but still there is a big gap in popularity between the two.
