wait did i totally misread what Neil meant there?

I had the same reaction as you.

Not sure how 'the dream lives on' means they aren't playing? And I know Neil isn't a fan of Radiohead, but it'd be a bit cruel to put a smiley face if he knew they weren't playing :P

I don't know anything with certainty, but I'm starting to think there's a strong chance they'll be before Adele.

Oh man. I don't even know what to think. The scenes if Radiohead actually sub Adele...

What's making you think that Neil? Anything you can divulge?

it's a bit of a leap in the dark from one angle .... tho it does make the most sense of all possibilities from the various bits and pieces said to me from a number of directions.

Then again, when you have the likes of Michael saying they're not playing this year I could easily be well-off the mark ... but I'm not entirely sure that Michael is fully in the loop anyway.

Interesting. Aside from the joy of them being there it really would throw the cat amongst the pigeons in terms of who's playing were/when.

Been lurking in the shadows for a while here;). Read this mixmag    article yesterday. Thought I'd stoke the fire. http://www.mixmag.net/read/glastonbury-organisers-tease-big-event-away-from-current-site-in-2018-or-2019-news (notice where it says        Radiohead are playing this year)

What a strange trio of artists to mention.

As for Neil's news, it feels too good to be true. There is no going back now, I'm fully onboard the 'It's happening' train.

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
