Dream is over lads...

I don't think anyone really believed they were headlining anyway. The chat for ages has been where will they play given the assumption Adele is playing. Still think they will be a 'Special Guest' act before Adele.

To be honest, they are the only act currently rumoured that would fit the slot. People talking about what a huge booking Adele is, imagine how fucking monstrous it would be if Saturday night is Radiohead > Adele.

it's the dream, but i think we're far more likely to end up with something shite like Macklemore > Adele unfortunately

Oh for fucks sake, I hope they don't do that dance again.  So glad I'm not doing SecretGlasto this year. What a load of bullshit.

I'm not grumpy at all about the inevitable actually happening instead of Radiohead being announced.

haha at this point i don't know why they'd even bother doing the 'Special Guests' thing tbh as anybody who bothered to do the tiniest bit of research would be able to figure out that it's more than likely to be Radiohead. still think it'll be somebody shite subbing her though

Totally have faith that it will be Radiohead myself.

Thinking about it logically, I think there they type of band that would not currently be in any kind of mindset to play a largely greatest hits set. Which let's face it, not matter how big or small you are, if your headlining the Pyramid stage you really would to do.

Radiohead will sub and the pressure is off... They can play whatever the hell they want. :-)

P.s About 20 twenty pages back who brought up Rolo Dessert being a nice treat? Tried em and not so grateful to myself. Still awaiting the Ferrero Rocher mcflurry! Let's make it happen people!!

Here's the thing that pisses me off,

Sure Radiohead might still show up somewhere during the weekend, but it's going to be a nightmare isnt it. It's gonna be very crowded to the point where I would be concern about my well being. and I hate having to check twitter every hour or so.

I really don't see them subbing any of the 3 pyramid headliners, that would be just disrespectful. Perhaps the festival panicked after last year's stupid petition shit, so they rushed to have confirmation from Coldplay and Muse. Otherwise, surely they could've got Radiohead to headline, they love the festival, and its baffling to see them headlining OPENAIR Festival, and last year's DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL headliner get this year's friday slot.

And to announce it today out of all day after the disaster that is today just put the icing on the cake.

I believe I am the Rolo yogurt man. And you're a heathen for slagging them off!

    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
    • Yeh, the quiet camping also seems to be on the same side (broadly) as the bits of the festival that go on the latest (Far Out / Chai Waalahs / RTT until 4am). We're always in Tangerine Fields which is right behind the main stage and as soon as that and Rising Stage are done it's pretty quiet (midnight onwards) which I'd guess is pretty similar if you can hack taking all your gear from the car past the big tree in the middle and into the campsites that side.
    • Can't see Bimble line up anywhere - am I being dense and missing an obvious release somewhere?
