I've not got anything from Pablo Honey, KoL or Amnesiac in contention. Not to say there's not good tracks on there, but just that the other 5 are so good that they pale in comparison

Then these two are in my top 5, but still don't get enough respect.

I often think I'm a bit odd, because I love the songs which rarely appear in others Top 5. I would need to spend a load of time working out a top 5, bit a lot of it would be based on where I was  personally in my life at the time. Have to say Fake Plastic Trees will almost certainly be at number 1 however much I analyse it, that aside I really adore The Tourist and Nude. So I must clearly prefer the slower stuff, with Thom's lingering vocals, the most

To prove how odd my tastes are, Black Tie White Noise is one of my favourite Bowie albums, I dare not mention it in the Bowie thread for fear of being ridiculed!, its certainly the one I have listened to the most, but again that's probably just as much about where I was in my life at the time and what music was affecting emotionally

Jeez I would love to see Radiohead at Glastonbury again this year, it would be immense

Looks to my eye like they'll play, so I will become initiated in the ways of Radiohead! I'm going to work backwards, buy most recent album first and work backwards but skip that debut one with proper choruses. That sound a good idea?

Definitely not. The most recent is the weirdest and not one of the best.

Definitely start with OK Computer or In Rainbows. Their best two in my eyes. Most people agree that these two plus Kid A are their best, but Kid A wouldn't be a good starting point.

The Bends would also be an okay starting point but it isn't as good as the two I mentioned.

You could just do what you were gonna do but start with In Rainbows and leave TKOL for later on.

Not to me. In my opinion King of limbs isn't the best album to start with. It isn't their best either. It isn't their most "user friendly" either. I personally enjoy listening to the evolution of an act. 

There is a definite progression from album to album.

Saw them do Leeds 09 and thought they were really good, would that have been TKOL tracks? Somebody played me most of In Rainbows a couple of days before and I enjoyed quite a bit so I might start there.

That will have been In Rainbows. It will be interesting to see what you think. 

Kid A would be a decent start if you wanted to get away from The Bends / Ok Computer.

I only got to know them in 08 and the concert worked as a nice introduction since they played songs from all over their career. Afterwards i bought In Rainbows and then I started from the beginning. Even though I didn't experience their evolution in person, I had a nice idea of how that must've felt.

Start from the beginning and work through them,, that's what made them great, their development and evolution from the breakthrough in the 90s and the likes of Creep through to the behemoth that is OK Computer, through to the recent and more innovative and revolutionary music, music that changes the mainstream and tries to push it in another direction. Its quite a journey. Musical innovative, continually evolving, and they still are.... Much like Bowie
