Their was a sneaky little anouncement on February 24th last year as well as March but I kinda think end of March is realistic

There's a second Green Man announcement tomorrow, so I don't think we'll be far away from a second EOTR one.

Some nice additions in the latest Green Man announcement. EOTR need to up their game and improve the current tepid line-up!

Wow. Yeah, Super Furry Animals and Broken Social Scene would be such great additions.

Broken Social Scene aren't just going to come over for one date, especially not that weekend when there's not a lot happening in Europe. M Ward is playing both. AnCo are at Bestival.

I see Grandaddy are doing Green Man. They would be most welcome visitors at EOTR if it could happen!

They're playing Electric Picnic the weekend of EOTR.

They played in 2012, and nobody as high up the bill as they will be plays both in the same year.

Yeah, I saw that. I commented saying how it needs to happen. Always felt that the Fannies belonged at EOTR. Would be a cracking booking. If they can't get them, they should get The New Mendicants (Norman and Joe Pernice)

I'm kind of expecting Karl Blau in the next announcement. New Bella Union signing, playing UK shows in the week after the festival, but apart from that, I have no idea.

New Mendicants would be great too. Was due to see them in a pub in Portsmouth a couple of years ago but gigs got cancelled. I'm thinking it's got to be and I'm really quite excited!! Will check Karl Blau out.

I've seen New Mendicants a couple of times now. They're great fun, play off each really well and a perfect blend of songs.

I'm not getting my hopes up though. It's the hope that kills you!

Karl Blau's been playing off and on with Laura Veirs for years. I hope he's moved on significantly from his earlier, uh, "inessential" self-issued releases.

Kind of surprising the Fannies haven't played before, in truth. They're supposed to have an album out later in the year.

 

And yeah, don't get your hopes up for SFA just because they're playing another festival that weekend, unlike BSS it's not like they're making the special effort to be in Britain.

Just seen the line up for this year's Beautiful Days that takes place a couple of weeks before EOTR, there are several in the line up that have connections with EOTR and I wonder if some may be included in the next announcement:

Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings (Wasn't she scheduled for 2013 and had to withdraw due to ill health)
