Special guests Super Furry Animals lead the second wave of acts revealed for Festival No. 6 taking place in Portmeirion, Wales returning for a fifth year in 2016 from Thursday 1st until Sunday 4th September 2016. The festival is famed for it's quirky setting - the location for the cult 60's TV series The Prisoner, hence the name being a reference to the show.

Also confirmed on the line-up today are Broken Social Scene, Temples, M. Ward, Gold Panda, Ben UFO, Crazy P, Eagulls, A Certain Ratio, Milky Chance, Formation, White, Clean Cut Kid, Babeheaven, Bad Sounds, Shells, and Vynce.

Closing proceedings on Friday night are Bastille, headlining Saturday night will be Hot Chip, and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will be closing the festival. Also appearing will be live acts including Aurora, Blossoms, C Duncan, Django Django, Echo and the Bunnymen, Frances, Gwenno, JP Cooper, Lawrence Taylor, Lucy Rose, Ngod , Oh Wonder, Oscar, Roots Manuva, Roisin Murphy, The Amazons, and This Is The Kit. No.6 composer-in-residence Joe Duddell, joins up with Manchester Camerata Chamber Orchestra on an exclusive David Bowie Reimagined performance, with very special guest vocalists on each song.

The first of the DJ line-up is also unveiled including A Love from Outer Space: Andrew Weatherall & Sean Johnston, Craig Charles, Fleetmac Wood, Joy Orbison, Kate Simko & The London Electronic Orchestra, Optimo (Until the Music Stops), Smooth Sailing presents Kaftan Discotheque, and The 2 Bears.

Portmeirion was constructed between 1925 and 1975 by architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis and the village is a bizarre and elaborate interpretation of a Mediterranean villa.

Bands, DJs, musicians and string ensembles will be performing across the entire site, from the historic town hall to the Colonnade gardens to the picturesque Bay Stage and the promenade along the sandy beached estuary of the River Dwyryd.

Festival goers can also expect comedy, poetry, pop up-theatre, intimate readings, film screenings, woodland trails, art installations, pop up woodland raves, lectures and discussions, unique collaborations, the voices of a male voice choir, processions, The Prisoner reconstructions, and more.

Be seeing you.
