I don't know if you're trolling or just an idiot. It's not 2005 anymore

Hell even if it was 2005 James wouldn't be anywhere near a headline spot

It isn't 2009 either hence why Flo wasn't headlining in the 1st place! So why is The Who headlining Sunday eh going by your logic? It isn't 1969 either....

I think The Who are quite a bit more of a "legendary" act than James. Not quite sure why tbh I'm sure that James chap is a decent bloke

What were yoir views on Kanye West? Serious question.

Not having a pop, but at a guess you are similar age to me. (Im 30) and probably are into similar music for a large part.

I think you are discounting how big Florence is, because you don't like her.

Neither do I, but she is massive. I didnt realise how big kanye was in this country til he was announced.

My mate at work said about the headliners "but no one is intetested in the foo fighters any more, they should be booking Radiohead"

I don't doubt that Radiohead would be great, but he didn't think Foo Fighters were big enough either... Cos he isnt into them.

We all let our owm view blind ourselves.

I'm not dismissing her because I don't like her, I've already seen Florence live already fella - she couldn't do a 2 1/2 hour slot, simple as - Kylie could easily! Also it's short notice, not many acts or bands could step in either but only someone who doesn't know James would think they couldn't step in short notice - 13 albums and plenty of singalong songs you didn't even realise you already knew.

Btw you're not my age mate - I'm 45.

As for Kanye, liked his earlier stuff but I'm from a Warren G, Snoop, 2Pac type era n tbh find him a bit of a prick these days and his music piss poor imitation of its genre.

My view isn't from someone who hasn't a clue about music, its from someone who as plenty of experience seeing a large variety of it!

Saw James Headline Bearded Theory last month.  They were great as ever and the latest album is superb, but and its a big but they had a falling out with the Eavii back in the day and have not been on the line up since. The will not be headlining….

It will be one of the following, purely because they are playing currently and would be able (although a bit boring)

1 Coldplay.

2 Muse.

3 Flo bumped up.

4 The Prodigy.

Unless its someone special and not in the list above I will be elsewhere with my mint sauce!

Commiserations to any Foos fans, and for that matter the band themselves. Must be gutted. That said with 7 days to go the prospect of a new headliner has got my excitement levels off the scale.

What will they do with all the T-Shirts, Programmes etc?

What about Rihanna? Touring with Kanye so she is free. Has been working on a new live show. Their tour is rumored to start in the UK, so likely her set up is close at hand as well.

No dates confirmed as yet and some doubt that it will happen this year

It has to be either someone I want to see way more than Hot Chip, or someone I want to see way less than Hot Chip ideally...

Time for James Murphy to get on a plane for the Hot Chip/LCD Reformation double-headliner extravaganza! ;)

Unless production had yet to begin, I imagine they'll just use what they've got. Everyone there's sensible enough to realise why it'll still have the Foos listed. What was slightly more unforgivable was the Guardian guide managing to get the map wrong last year.
