Does anyone know when the fence build is due to be completed? I'm down camping near Pilton in just over a week and was hoping to catch some glimpses of the site by cycling some of the roads around the perimeter.

Why does it seem like there isn't much activity on site atm?

Slackers, the lot of 'em.

There's a bit action by the Pyramid, but I think the next big thing might be the Other roof taking shape.

Sorry if already discussed, team, but what is the flat grey stack directly to the right of Park Stage, just the other side of the trees/bushes?

Ben

Heras fencing Ben, which they put around the hedgerows :)

Indeed, hopefully preventing a lot of urinating in to them.

Damn right to that, Jay.

I really hope that this year if I see 'Don't Pee on the Land' transgressors that I have the wherewithal gently to ask them not to do so.

And I have a bladder the size of a walnut...

It's to stop the unsuccessful hiding out in them while wearing a ghillie suit.

There are a lot of frustrated people in the Secret Resales thread who are now on eBay sourcing materials and arranging to get to Pilton this weekend before the fence is finished!

:)

We better make sure we pack some extra food for them, they're going to be hungry by the time the festival opens.

Is it over? That thread moves far too quickly for me to keep up!

Nada, phil.

I'm trying for someone (someone I know only from these boards and have never met in person!) and it is fucking tragic over there. I feel SOOOOO sorry for them. I'd like to think I would just call it a day, but I know I wouldn't :o.

Being medically qualified, I can administer intravenous twin chocolate-coated caramel-and-biscuit fingers STAT.

Yikes. Well best of luck. I think it must be harder than the actual general sales now, considering the amount of people going for the few hundred/thousand tickets left. It's hardly a secret resale at all now.

It can be done though, I got a couple of mates tickets a couple of years ago, and I wasn't even trying for myself!

Good of you to try for a complete stranger. You really are the best of us Ben.

    • Plenty of good stuff this month. Very difficult choice, but I'm going with some of those I've listened to most (the sunny weather may also have been influential)...   1. The Coral - 388 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's Been Good to Me 3. The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind!   Others I've been enjoying... Laurie Anderson's live album, Broken Social Scene, Pigeon, The Black Keys, etc
    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
