OK so its 6th Glasto or thereabouts and for the first time I am going to go with only a (decanted) bottle of rum.  I normally take a 3l box of wine but I had an unfortunate accident with that today. i normally take a crate of beer too, but with experience I just think its too much hassle...plus I dont like warm beer. So essentially my strategy is simply to buy booze onsite, it might be more expensive, but it will be cold and convenient. Plus Glastonbury is the highlight of my year, so to hell with the $$$

do you have to empty the JD into plastic containers or do they generally not care??

definitely decant! no glass on site

in 2013 it was the one year anniversary of the death of a friend of our groups, and on the Sunday we were all sat up at Stone Circle and my friend pulled out a bottle of champagne so we could all have a drink for him. it was a very touching affair with a lot of tears, but all i could think of through the whole thing was 'she's brought fucking glass!'

36 cans of Stella (I'm from Donny, leave it)

1l sherbet lemon vodka

1l Morgan's spiced

Will buy mixers there and I'll buy cold pints through the day with this being my first festival where I'm not unemployed (I'll try not to think about the fact I currently have -£750 in my bank account).

Also, what's the best approach for buying mixers there? Would feel a bit cheeky going to an ice cream van or something and taking loads of their cans of coke. Some people have mentioned convenience stores?

There was one up near the park last year with 1.5l bottles for £3 I think.

I went for 3 litres of boring Smirnoff with some boring cranberry juice and a few crates of boring Kopparberg. I used to be a maverick, you know, I'd turn up with a milk cartoon full of the crazy rum my mate made himself, with some cans of Ting to mix it with.

has anyone tried the Westons Wyld Wood Organic Cider?

I've got serious booze paranoia, when I try to order Tree Shaker online it's showing as not available so it's given me the fear that i'm not going to be able to get any

is the Westons one any good? in my head it's going to taste like old rosey which is nice in a pint but not for 5 days in a row
