Was that that was the year it didn't sell out so they sold some physical ones in shops?  I remember getting my friend to pick ours up from Wales where he was working

I think so.  I cant remember if mine had a photo on it.

People blame JayZ but i think it was the floods of previous years that did it.  We know now that people will go no matter what the lineup

Today's feels quieter doesn't it - although at the same time yesterday we hadn't had much happenings.

Make the most of it, I'm actually getting work done and even enjoyed a cup of coffee AND a wee break!

Tipis and Campers where quite early yesterday, but yes this does seem a lot calmer..  dunno what to read into that!

Yesterday they were adding all the extras for sale (tipis, worthy view, caravans etc.), whereas now I guess they're just waiting for them to all sell out. Probably expecting a less noise on the site today (but they might just start messing with it anyway, who knows)

That would be super annoying as I would love to surprise my boyfriend with a worthy view booking as well as tickets but if they're waiting for that then I've got no chance!

JUST SELL ME A TICKET ALREADY. I'm starting to feel mega stressed.

If I'm lucky enough to bag myself an elusive ticket, I suspect I'll be whooping with joy in my office.  I'm going to whip of my shoes and run barefoot through our grass (we don't have carpet - it's a faux grass floor) in preparation!

That's what I was thinking, as it presumably means less fuss for them. Hope not though, want it over and done with

altho as someone else said yesterday it doesn't seem logical cos people who buy tickets on SR might want campers or WV

I doubt that's something they're waiting for, as such. Although it probably will, Worthy View might not even sell out, so we'd be waiting until next year's festival!

I think the more likely scenario is dotting the i's and crossing the t's on all refunds and then they'll go live. They clearly checked that the website structure was all good to go for coach and GA yesterday, so are likely tying up loose ends before pushing the button.

Of course, that takes us no closeer to knowing when said button will be pushed!

:)

No chance they will wait for other stuff to sell out first.

They will want the resale done as quick as possible too.

Agreed.  Their concerns will be

  • Are they ready, is it working
  • is it calm enough out there to do it without causing mayhem
  • Is it a good, fair time (i.e. not 3 in the morning)

I dont think they care what other tickets are on sale at that time

I dont think that affects the actual festival ticket resale at all

wasn't sure (as people said above) if they may be waiting for those to sell out before releasing the tickets.

    • People seem to have got obsessed about 'secret sets' at all festivals this year even when there aren't any spaces other than, in EOTR's case, the usual late Folly sets that 90%+ of the time are from artists who are already playing. And if it is someone else, I'm sure it won't be a band who played the festival last year.
    • To be fair @Superscally barely mentions the running thing. Very quiet about it 😘
    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
